LSD - GAH!!! >.< You knew I had to click on that link. And once started, I had to listen to it all the way. Now, I'm going to have that stuck in my head tomorrow at work. I guess that was in retaliation for the "Funny Bunny Picture" with CSI : Miami, though.
As far as alcoholic drinks go, I go through phases. I don't like "dark" beers, mostly sweet ambers or ales... and then, mostly while I'm munching on food (especially something spicy). Wine, mead, cider, that's all good. I can get messed up on Jamison whiskey or good quality tequila (just remember the lime!).
But when it comes to rum, I like coconut rum mixed with coca-cola and a squeeze of lime juice. I had it once at a fancy meeting where I was asked to escort my friend Bonnie because she wanted a friend to be there with her that knew how to be well behaved and could clean up well. They had an open bar, and the bartender offered to make something different for me as I mentioned I just wanted something to sip that wasn't like hard liquor.
Great, now I'm craving a drink.

You're the third person I've heard (the other two being my friends Abe and Mark) that hold Jameson in high regard. I might try some when I get back home. I know if I don't like it, Mark will gladly take it off my hands.

I'm not a bit "malt" person, and Jamison is a whiskey that doesn't have almost any malt finish. Yeah, it has a pleasant burn as it goes down, with a flavorful finish rather than a malty one. If your taste in beers tends more towards darker brews or those with a lot of hops to them, you might like a different brand. If you like a beer that's a bit smoother (like Bass ale, or most lagers) you might like trying some Jamison.

I have a craving for some Pina Colada. . . I only like delicious alcohols, not vile stuff like beer, or cider, or whisky.
WHAT!? A Scot that doesn't like whiskey!? Calvinist bastard! *breaks out pitchforks and torches*
And better Nutella then Vegemite. Bleh

You know, I still haven't really found a whiskey I absolutely love, but I especially never liked Jamesons. Bit too much of a burn for me.
Instead, I'm more of a Brandy and Rum kind of girl. Give me

That's kind of odd... my boyfriend tends to prefer darker beers but he loves Jamison. He also like Jack Daniels and Wild Turkey's American Honey. Not sure what that says...Dirty n Evil wrote:I'm not a bit "malt" person, and Jamison is a whiskey that doesn't have almost any malt finish. @Azrael...I love vegemite...especially on toast. But I love salty foods regardless. Anchovies, capers, vegemite, soy sauce-ralted foods...mmmnnn...
Mango Pancakes too, though. Which I'll be getting for lunch today.

Re: Addictions & Cravings
I got to indulge one of my cravings for dinner tonight.
Skyline Chili
This place has been an institution in my area for years. Cincinnati style chili is different from what most people think when they hear "chili." It's served more like Italian meat sauce, only it's thinner and has cinnamon and a few other unusual spices. I had mine as a three-way (yes, I have heard the obvious joke made before,) which is spagetti topped with the chili and a big mound of shredded cheddar cheese.

Yes, it is as bad as you think, and they are out to get you

I too generally prefer the salty to the sweet Asaryu, but the Vegemite just didn't do it for me. I wonder if I should find some and try it again. It's been like twenty years or so ago, my taste sense may have changed.

well, Az...try to just use a little bit of it...maybe on toast or something. I like it on the toast crusts...with a little bit of butter to make them go down well.

And if you still don't like it, it's okay! I live in Australia and I can't stand the stuff.
