...uh... everything about this strip is saying "those sunglasses are prescription, and Sandra has just risked if not caused permanent damage." I guess that's... a destination... in the vein of Of Mice and Men...

Perhaps she's been wearing them for so long it's affected her vision or it's a special design for a vision problem since she still wears those things at night.

Regardless here's a long awaited scene and here's hoping we get to see Cammi's eyes.

Personally, I heard the music cue of the opening of the Ark of the Covenant.

So Cammi has been partially blind the whole time? What a twist! I feel like they maybe should have set that up more in prior strips but w/e.

That fourth panel is a fair representation of how I see the world without my spectacles (I see colour too, but this is a black & white strip). It's nothing special, just myopia.

I think she's just blinded by the bright light. The sun is directly behind Sandra in the second to last panel.

Yeah, I just read this as "momentarily dazzled by the bright light". They are in the south of France, after all. And apparently, Cammi isn't wearing double-layer eye protection on this occasion. Sandra must've sneaked up on her very quietly, though.
