I fear Marie may have to do all that just to get into Zoe’s good graces, but at least there’s comfort in knowing she will destroy Eva for trifling with her.

Marie needs to dig deep and realize she's going up against the Boss of this level. Time to grind some XP, level up, and take down the beast!

well, does Eva's power match the combined influence of Zoe and Sandra? This could be a good fight.

Mmm. Eva is so busy twirling her stick-on moustache there that she seems to have lost track of her actual objective. Which seems a bit weak of her considering that she's been running an efficient, effective plan for the last year, but I guess one can imagine that the strain of keeping things quiet that long has finally got too much for her.

And she really seems to be underestimating Zoé, which seems particularly odd because it was her enmity with Zoé that started all this. Sure, she seems to recognise that Marie is likely to go back to Zoé -- hence the blacklisting threat -- but I'd assume that Zoé has at least as much clout in the modelling world as she does, so Marie might at worst just have to switch clients. Or, if Zoé remembers her original advice, Marie can just switch back to education for a few years, until things calm down a bit. If three years at university didn't hurt Lily Cole's career...

Honestly, being fannish about this, I'm more worried for Lavali and Alex, who've been used and presumably thrown away, than for Marie, who's just a teenager who's been taught a valuable lesson.

Let’s not forget that she was visibly nervous when Lukas reminded Eva of that it would be bad if Zoe found out what she was doing. Maybe she’s less vulnerable now.

or she's just not thinking this through. Or it's a gambit to bring Sandra in by threatening her friend

That was my impression, too. From her actions, at least, it feels like Eva has switched from "try to seduce Zoé's models to the Dark side" to "engage in thinly veiled reverse psychology to make Zoé's models run screaming back into Zoé's arms and avoid me forever after."

Could she secretly be an ally whose true objective is to scare wayward models straight? If so, her ranting from the last couple of installments would suddenly make a lot of sense! Otherwise, though, she's just suddenly unbelievably stupid. Like, even DiDi is smarter than this.

We maybe need to remember that this comic is due to end soon. Characters are unlikely to engage in subtle-long term schemes, because the writer won’t give them time to complete such things, and any long-term schemes currently running really need to be wrapped up.* Unfortunately, Eva seems to be swinging way over the other way and acting like a kamikaze loony.



*Or they could just be left hanging. God knows there are precedents.

I wonder what kind of proof that would be, we know that they both saw her naked giving that full brazilian, so that might not be so bad. I think that Eva would rather ask to bring her rival's head figuratively speaking.

I think the proof will be to convert Sandra.

Which will fail when Sandra don't play that game
