I'm partially correct (so far, possibly) in that Eva would have a way to try and keep Marie under her thumb by having the Terror Twins extort her with a ludicrous fee for their services. We'll just have to see if Eva adds icing and a cherry on top to this Coercion Cake.
Also, curious to see where Ingrid is at this moment. Hope she's not tied up, or something.

I’d be amused if Ingrid turned out to be on the phone to Zoé while all this is going on, sorting everything out and stitching Eva up like a kipper. But more likely she’s in plot stasis until she’s needed.

Aw. Tomax and Xamot aren't being completely terrible! They could flat out refuse, after all. And, The Slappings(tm) were pretty profound, I can see the twins having a grudge there.

Well, flat-out refusal might seem too quick and easy. Stringing Marie along for a moment by writing down a number, then making it unthinkably large, might feel more deliciously cruel.
And who knows? Maybe they enjoyed the slapping...

My guess is she's getting this all on her phone (evidence to use against Eva later).
