Continuing the proverbial full moustache-twirling territory. Haha! ... though Eva still seems less malevolent than Eloise.

Not so much moustache-twirling as poncing around in a floor-length hooded cloak and riveted face-mask, making over-complicated speeches about power (or in this case, modelling success) being its own justification. Won't work, of course, evil cannot comprehend good, yadda yadda, and we've already seen that Marie doesn't actually like her current situation very much.

But yes, the writing on Eva has gone a bit over the top.

A bit over the top, but not surprising from Eve.

It’s also great that we now know why Lavali never contacted Sandra. I hope she wasn’t too devastated when Eve dumped her. I want to believe she hopped into bed with Anahi the next day. I’d also like to see it too😉

Eva seems to have a lot of confidence she can still control Marie after her shocking revelation. Either she’s that certain, or she has a plan to ensure her hold on the poor dear is certain.

Wow. We knew Eva was mean, now she's just evil.

Or she’s a comic strip villain, and thus a mistress at snatching defeat from the clenched jaws of victory.

Now Eva is definitely a hot model version of Darth Sidious.

I was just coming here to make a Darth Eva comment. She really does seem to be channeling the Emperor in this strip.

I guess Eva figures there's nothing Marie can do about it now and she's pretty much stuck with her.

But i guess Eva isn't seeing Lavali anymore going by what she said.

There's definitely nothing Marie can do about what's been done now. The only reason I could see Eva being confident enough to be this bold is that she thinks Marie would still want to be a model, and that if she did leave her patronage, she would ensure that she (Marie) would never find work in Paris, just as how she was able to ensure she got her first front cover and commercial gig.

Marie's final hope would be Zoe, if she's willing to take the girl back in after listening how Eva duped them all. But some here would think that to be very unlikely.

Dang. Two people have already made a Darth Eva joke. I'm getting sloppy in my old age. lol

Yeah, Eva’s full name is presumably Evitable.

(Think about it. Bonus accidental Endgame reference for extra cross-franchise fun!)

While Zoé has multiple reasons to be pissed off with Marie, there’s one thing that might override them all; taking her back would piss Eva off like nothing else on Earth.
