Oh, Marie. Blinded by the great gifts.
And that's quite the tasteful decor. Methinks they're pictures of herself, though. Vain much?

To be fair, I don't recall Sandra thinking it was great back then.
Also, Sandra likely drank more than Marie

She may not have liked it back then, but it helped her learn independence and self reliance. Marie is now hopelessly dependent on Eva to meet her needs. And should she do something to displease her, Eva will treat Marie like George Thorogood's landlady when he didn't have the rent- out the door she'll go.JoybuzzerX wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:51 amTo be fair, I don't recall Sandra thinking it was great back then.

Yes, but Sandra didn't know that at the time.

It wouldn’t have been so bad if Tatiana wasn’t her roommate. Hopefully Ingrid was spared this.Renadt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 6:19 amShe may not have liked it back then, but it helped her learn independence and self reliance. I'm surprised Marrie doesn't have any videogame effigy in her apartment's front. Makes me wonder how much of her original interests she's abandoned.
I mean, if I was as rich, and had her tastes, I'd definitely have a statue featuring Link shirtless (or some other vidya crush) instead of that one in the main hall.

she's probably committed to being in the model clich now. Trying to get away from who she was before.
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

You can tell it's meant to be a fancy apartment; the first view we get of it is seen from ceiling height, to emphasise the breadth.
Of course, the sheer scale of this stuff is deliberately exaggerated for comic effect, but I do wonder why Eva is still investing quite so much in Marie. I mean, she could keep her impressed and on-side with an apartment half this size -- and Eva has her apparent victory over Zoé . Where's the payback?

It started as a revenge plot against Zoé, now my guess is Marie turned out to be profitable, so Eva is bloodsucking her until there's nothing left and then she kicks her out...
