Sure are spending a lot of time (in terms of montage footage) on rushing an arc for a superfluous gag character that was more of a prop and a pet to another minor character. I guess it is to update Sandra on what she missed, and Swedish girl's new hair is quite nice, so it isn't pointless.
I guess the first thing Zoe did was call Fabien "My new protege cut her hair to make a point, I need you to fix it".

I seriously don’t understand why a boss demanding obedience is such a difficult concept.
I think it's less that she demanded obedience (although doing something other than stalking around angrily and refusing to pay any attention to anything would have been helpful) and more that she outright committed a felony in order to fire Sandra in an extremely elaborate way.

Call me crazy? But I figure that qualifies as at least a little weird.
Except that half of the complaints I read seem to be more about who-does-Zoe-think-she-is than that-seems-to-be-a-bit-much-just-to-fire-somebody. And the jury is still out on whether that was the plan. If Zoe fired her on the spot Eva would've hired her and considering how bad of an influence she's been on Marie the downward spiral would be inevitable. This really may have been for Sandra's benefit since she actually got her act together while she was back in Montreal and became a professional. Moreover, Zoe's agency paid the rent for Sandra's apartment while she was away so it's no like she awoke on a bus stop bench.
I'm ok with Zoe dumping Sandra, and it was actually decent of her to fly Sandra back home. Companies are not required to send you back to your country of citizenship after termination unless it was expressly written in your contract. What is NOT okay is chloroforming your employees (or anyone else, for that matter). Its pointless (just dump the offending employee on a plane and be done with them) and illegal. Sadly, I can vaguely remember chloroform gags in sitcoms from my childhood. I think both Gilligan's Island and Get Smart had plots with knocking out folks for comedic effect. After Bill Cosby and #MeToo though, its just not funny anymore. I'm not sure if Pixie Trix are embarrassed by the strip but they should be.

Would it make you feel better if Tatiana whacked Sandra over the head with a mallet? Maybe they can redraw that strip so it's less offensive. 8-|

Actually, this is a remarkably old-fashioned set of comics. People miss the fact because of all the oh-so-modern zipless fucking, but it’s never been a secret that the biggest single inspiration round here is Archie, and a lot of the basic joke structures would have been right at home in a 1950s teen comic.

Which does include stuff like casual physical assaults that may well look a bit iffy or weird to modern readers.

Yeah, the chloroform gag has been used in everything, and it's not accurate, it would take minutes of inhaling that to be unconscious, and even after that if you want to keep the person sedated without causing him/her damage, you need to administer a continuous dosage, not to mention that the chin must be supported and other stuff, in the end you need to have someone with the expertise of an anesthesiologist to really pull of 37-B (perhaps Tatiana has a Russian background in medical stuff that we don't know?)

So when I saw the chloroform gag in this comic, I took it as that, just a gag, a gag that needs to be retired, sure, but a gag nonetheless. And with Tatiana the gag is intensified because she has characteristics of a stereotypical Russian.

She is indeed a wonderful artist who could doubtless turn her hand to anything, but from what I've seen, I don't get the feeling that she's very interested in depicting some of those bits in all their wrinkly Lovecraftian glory.
