Could be worse. At least Zoe didn’t send her back to Senna to be her personal assistant again.

Is it just me, or is Eisu's art better than usual in today's strip? Particularly the detail in Sandra's facial expressions and the background. This may be personal favorite from a purely aesthetic standpoint.
It's starting to look more like his original style for this strip. Although I have never disliked the new style, I did like the original better.
Click on the First button and see if this style is more like my "original" or not. If anything, this strip has more backgrounds drawn is the only similarity to my old drawing style and it's only because there's no dialogue so if I don't draw any background, it'd just look super empty. But This current strip and my old style is nothing alike in terms of the character drawing mainly cos I didn't even try to change my style with this strip.
I should have said a little more like the old style. Compare the first strips with say June 22, 2018 and then the latest few. I think you did put a bit more detail in not just the backgrounds, but also her expressions. A lot more freckles, but that never is a bad thing IMHO.

If you were able to "luck" your way through life, you could easily become complacent and start to assume that things will simply work out for you, as they always have. And Sandra's been riding a wave of good fortune ever since she wound up in Brazil. So it isn't hard to see why Domenico's giving her a reality check, the same way Cerise tried to do with Mel. The difference being, Cerise was motivated by jealousy whereas Domenico seems to be doing it for Sandra's own good.
There is still the possibility that both Zoe and Domenico are done with Sandra and fired her, and this is the aftermath. She flew too high, lost her wings and crashed back to the ground. Now she has to pick herself up, dust herself off, and get used to life as an earthbound mortal again. The last we could see of the other Paris characters is them wondering what became of Sandra and Zoe and Dom simply saying she "didn't work out."

On the other hand, those other character arcs could simply continue and draw to their own conclusions without Sandra being there. After all, aside from relatively brief encounters (usually to introduce the characters), Sandra didn't really feature very much in their arcs anyway.

If that were the case, he'd already be through with Zoé because Domenico went through the same thing with her. Yet, she still has a job at the agency. And, as others have noted, there's still two ongoing revenge plots, a love triangle, and a mo-cap gig back in Paris that all directly involve Sandra, which can't go on without her.

Must be a fairly "revolving door" situation if the diner simply lets hers return to work even after God knows how long unannounced absence. (Granted, could have had some off-screen new job search)

I've heard of dumber rehires.

So this was done to teach her a hard lesson? Seems to be working.

In-comic we saw Sandra as a good waitress (and according to her, a bad bartender); one of my friends is a restaurant manager and he once told me that he preferred rehiring a waitress that he knows is good than hiring a new one that has a killer resume. So I'm not surprised.

Also, it appears that everyone is assuming that Sandra never contacted her boss, but the only thing we can assure is that we don't know. She could've contacted him the moment she got a job as Senna's assistant, and if she didn't, when Domenico hired her she wrote an email to Didi to let her know what was happening and said that she had other emails to send, so either she or Didi could've informed her boss.

Even then that means she was absent for a few days before contacting her old boss, which is still somewhat unprofessional.

See, the thing about this is you're saying that mid-way, when I was doing the new style so to say, I decided to forego expressions but one thing I've NEVER changed, whether it was with the new style or old style is make sure that the expressions I drew are detailed and expressive, so I seriously don't know what you're talking about when you said I put a bit more detail in the expressions. In all my decades of drawing, expressions have been the one thing I made sure I get right in terms of details and stuff no matter what style I was drawing in. Saying that I had more detailed expressions previously, then it was gone when I changed my style and then suddenly it came back recently seems very weird to me cos I've never changed how I drew expressions at all. I changed the facial shapes or stylized arms or more cartoonish bodies, yes, but I've never slacked off in drawing my expressions.
