"Probably" Zoe... or perhaps, a certain chauffeuse who has probably experienced certain contingency plans and definitely experienced other outbursts of volatility from her employer? ;) A guardian angel in sunglasses who might not be terribly thrilled over the deportation of Freckles...

Time she was gone started with Senna, pre-Domenico...
(Also, she never even got Alex & Marie's blog address?)

Doesn't the gaming company Sandra was modeling/mo-capping for have their offices in Montreal (of which Gary works for)?
Zoe may have been keeping Sandra's apartment for her because she had every intention of having Sandra focus on that job instead of being swept up in Domenico's world.

Please, don't come to me expecting me to fix your problems.

I doubt it. That's essentially saying Zoé undermining Dominico, whereas the comic shows she was grooming Sandra for him.

Or maybe Zoe believes that by sending her back to Montreal and focusing solely on her modeling gig for the video game company, she can keep her out of any troubling antics that would come from leaving her alone to explore the sights and sounds of a Parisian night.

She may not have that gig. Didn't pictures of her nude fountain frollic get posted or something?

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

I have another hypothesis: Zoe was about to say "listen, you are gonna lay low while this is hot and we do damage control" but then Sandra said her "Marie is doing better" piece, so I think contingency plan 37-B can be for both punishment and damage control. Sandra is now in Montreal with her phone "missing", while they fix things enough that she can come back to resume her career...

That sounds plausible Rogermart. I still find it hard to believe that Sandra's apartment would still be there since she was working for Senna before she caught Domenico's eye, but we don't know for how long so it's possible if it were just for a few months and the landlord got paid back rent by Zoe. It's more believable that she would be so helpless without her phone, but she should be able to locate Alex and Marie's blog. Of course they might be a little too busy to reply quickly.
Unless Carmen Chameleon was a game geared largely towards children I doubt that. These days the only celebrity scandal or controversy that doesn't involve someone getting fired is public nudity.vampire hunter D wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 4:14 amShe may not have that gig. However this turns out and whatever the motivation behind recent events it, this is definitely an interesting twist - and hopefully a good lesson for Sandra.
She really needs to get her act together.

Not really. Or at least not unless the agency makes it a habit of paying for the old addresses of every single person who comes to potentially model for them. Seems to be an awful lot of time and expense for something they don't need to be responsible for because any model who does leave them can presumably make their own arrangements for somewhere to live.

Well, yes -- but until Domenico scouted her, she was expecting to get back to Montreal eventually. So she may have managed to arrange some kind of temporary rent coverage somehow, out of her savings or something. Or maybe there was a bit of inertia in her lease. Whatevs. Does it actually matter? Really?
I think that, at this point, Dave01 is yelling at us "SHE CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE! SHE JUST CAN'T, OKAY? SHUT UP! STOP QUIBBLING! SHUT UP!"
When I say "Don't sweat the small stuff", I'm not talking about how I tend reflexively to read the comic myself; I'm describing the writer's apparent attitude. Dave01 really, really doesn't seem to be very interested in tiny details of plot logic, and isn't going to do many favours for readers who are. From his point of view, it's all small stuff. Readers who worry about these things will just drive themselves crazy to no good purpose.
Anyhow, can I just say that I rather like Eisu's depiction of DiDi here? It's not terribly similar to Giz's -- her hairstyle has gone somehow oddly '60s, and she's gained an Eisu pointy nose -- but it works, and the bustiness hits the necessary "gross but realistic" level.
I also like the lampshading of the Ma3-universe allergy to surnames.

I remember seeing this being discussed in relation to slasher flicks. The problem for writers of those now is that with the advent of the mobile phone they have to come up with an explanation for why people simply can't call for help.
It's not too bad if the victims are stranded in the middle of nowhere but if they're anywhere near a major road or anything bigger than a farm it's something that really needs to be addressed to keep the audience onside. When the person is in a flat within easy access of every modern means of communication you really might as well not bother trying.
Edit and I agree about Eisu's art. Great again as usual.
