This is really beginning to look like a porn plot... :|

It certainly does, and given Nadine's past history, I think we can guess were this is going.

Umm, yeah. Like, it's Nadine. I mean.

I know that I should really feel sorry for Alex for being used and abused and treated as a pawn in that scheming minx's sleazy game, but sod it, this is a sex comedy; my inner 16-year-old-boy is just muttering "lucky bastard". He's being used, but he might just feel that's better than being unused. I can probably feel more sorry for Marie, who clearly has at least a few real feelings for him, and takes relationships seriously, and may well be hurt if she discovers that Eloise succeeded where she's so far failed, but she seems quite robust; I guess that I just hope that her response would be to rebound into Christophe's bed for the night, before getting her shit together and talking things through with Alex. I'd be very disappointed in this comic if it turned out to work on the principles that good boys can, good girls don't.

(Of course, that would leave Christophe feeling used. Again. But he's used to that.)

And meanwhile, I can't help feeling that Eloise's little improvised scheme might just fizzle because of the old evil-cannot-comprehend-good problem. Pierre is a nice guy, and presumably knows Sandra a bit by now, and might just feel that her playing up a bit on a girls' night out is just her being Sandra. (And if he's less nice than he's looked so far, he might just allow himself a little "girl-on-girl is hot, phwoah".) But given that the comic has never been clear what it wants to do with the Sandra-Pierre relationship, this may just be an excuse to close off that problem.

It won't end well for Pierre and possibly Aaina if Pierre confront Sandra on the spot.

Alex: "Dear Penthouse..."

My guess is that Eloise's plot will backfire, but it can lead to some fun stuff if there's enough confusion...

Well I mean, if she can get Pierre there it'll succeed, but probably not in the way she's thinking. Everyone with Sandra right now is under the impression that Pierre is dead because Sandra is terrible under pressure.

Very good point. I’d forgotten that bit of Sandra insanity. Question is, have the other characters, or the writer?

If Marie finds out about the continued sexcapades of Alex, she's gonna need a lot of confidence to get through it.

Adrienne and Adrianne might want to consider relocating. Like, to Mars. :D

Much as I like the writing here — and I really do — I can’t entirely forget that (a) Dave also writes Dangerously Chloe, which I, shall we say, don’t rate quite so high, and (b) Menage à 3 has had one or two narrative inconsistencies over the years. (Off the top of my head, just for a start, in no particular order: How much time has passed in-comic since it began? Is it ever winter in Montreal? What happened to Yuki’s father after his one appearance? Where did Gary go while Zii was bonking Angele? What were the other two members of Zii’s old band doing when Zii was working with Angel? How long did it take for Dillon and Amber to prepare, rehearse, and shoot their entire first film? Does the supposedly smart Matt remember that he swore off women? How long did it take Sandra and Senna to fly from Canada to Brazil? Did anyone really believe the things that Tatiana said to make DiDi go back to Canada?)

So yes, if you really want to know, I think that it’s possible that the other characters might just quietly forget a blatantly implausible thing said by Sandra in a moment of excitement, if it helps the story along.

Not quite the same but on that there was a story recently about a young woman who had sex with a very attractive boy and then discovered via social media that he'd only done it because he and his friends were having a who could sleep with the ugliest woman contest. So while she had the chance to sleep with a really hot boy I doubt she'll look back on the experience with any joy anytime soon.

I doubt there'd be the same element of public humiliation with Alex but it's still the case that some pretty intense experiences, including questioning his sexuality, weren't down to people feeling attracted to him but simply using him as a tool to attack somebody he genuinely cares about.

Which might just matter more to him than being able to go "wow I had sex with a model".

It might. In the real world, in the highly unlikely event of this happening to some 16-year-old, I'd worry for how it left him feeling, sure. Don't do this at home, kids. But this isn't the real world, it's a sex comedy which isn't, I'm pretty sure, more than comedically cruel to its characters in the long term -- and my own inner 16-year-old is a bit of a sleazy little jerk, and is definitely enjoying the comic. So in this case, I'll let my inner 16-year-old make the judgement call.

I'm not expecting to see any real serious consequences for Alex, even assuming he ever finds out what happened.

And I am quite enjoying the comic but I was just making the point that boys, even young, very hormonal ones can be slightly less shallow than "sex with somebody pretty makes everything worth while".

They probably can be; I don't think that I was. Teenage hormones really are appalling things - it's easy to forget just how bad after your 20s or so. Also, frankly, I wasn't as good-looking or likable or just plain nice as Alex, or blessed with as many good female friends.
