On the back of losing out to Marie on that job, pissing off Zoe who thinks Sandra threw her audition in favour of her friend, she find's out Cammi has 'settled' for the non-redheaded Ingrid (and as far as Sandra knew Cammi had a thing for her, if not redheads in general) so she's feeling somewhat fragile and insecure about her natural talents so she's trying to at least outwardly keep some kind of reputation up among her friends that she can bag a hottie like Aaina even if in her own mind "it's just arm candy, I'm not really a lesbian".
Yes, she hasn't thought it through very well at all.

Because unless Cammi never sees Pierre again, this little white lie can be pretty easily debunked. And then what? Nothing good I suspect.
Eh, why am I surprised. There is only so much intelligence to go around in this universe, and I'd say Gary of all people is hogging it.

I wouldn't say Sandra really had a high IQ to begin. 
She went out with Didi purely for gaining attention. Not saying she's stupid, just that she was never a genius to begin with.
Cammi likely has her flustered. They've shown she's at the very least crushing on Cammi, so the green eyes come out.

She’s no brainbox, but her rampant stupidity comes in fits and starts as the plot demands it. She seemed to become a fairly competent PA to Senna, and she seems to be better with computers than Tatiana.
