It's who you know in this industry, I see.

Still, I'm sensing the beginnings of Eva's plans unravelling. Somehow I just know this is going to contribute to her downfall, somehow.

Zoe will know the truth and Marie will be to good a friend to want to knowingly hurt Sandra. Sandra on the other hand >_>

One does still wonder how many favours, and how much of her sidekick's sex appeal, Eva is having to burn through to make this work. One also wonders if every single security guard in the Ma3 universe is female.

The female security guards are needed to apprehend the many bad girls.

Well regardless of getting the job Marie still has Sandra's back or more precisely the security guard's.

I don't see this as driving a wedge between them, but this probably won't improve things with Zoe.

I think this was a setup. That security guard looks just like Eva (unless it's another black haired girl or something). The guy hiring might've intended to hire Marie from the start (no matter how well or poorly she did).

It's another Black haired girl, if it was Eva:

1) Marie would have recognized her
2) Eva is way taller than this
3) the hairstyle is different in a bit, if you look closely (also, bonus for forumers, this is not the first time I drew this character)

For that matter I'd like to see somebody in this business who is actually not willing to damage their career for random sexual favors. I just want somebody to say no to that smug sidekick of Eva's, he's so nonplussed about everything he seems almost worse than her.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Actually nonplussed has two uses these days, I was going for the meaning that has developed in North America in recent years of "unperturbed" (which oddly enough is the opposite of what it originally meant and I can see why people wouldn't want it used that way). Apologies for the confusion, I was actually not aware of the more common meaning until I looked it up. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/nonplussed

Considering how much influence she seems to have, saying no to Eva might be more damaging to a career than just going along with whatever she wants.
