I doubt that it has large enough jaws. Not being real and all that.

But anyhow -- Lukas seems to be firmly established as Eva's primary asset, to a nigh-flanderised extent. One does have to wonder what he gets out of the deal. Aside from access to her lifestyle and all the other attractive men in her orbit, that is...

Strictly speaking, Age of consent is an anglo-saxon Common Law concept implying that there is a specific age under which a minor's consent cannot be recognised in a court of law. Therefore, there is no consent, therefore, any sexual activity with the minor is rape, specifically statutory rape.

In this sense, there is no age of consent in France, because there is no age set by law where a minor is deemed automatically unable to give consent. The maturity and ability to consent of the minor is evaluated on a case by case basis.

In French law, we do differentiate between viol sur mineur ("rape on a minor") and atteinte sexuelle sur mineur ("unlawful sexual contact with a minor"), as in, in the first case, the minor did NOT consent, and in the second case, they DID consent. So, this consent IS recognized, even though it's still a crime.
Since there is no set age fixed by law, in theory, a minor could be recognised as consenting as young as 1 (or even 0). In practice that would never happen to a prepuscent child of 12 or younger.

But if you mean Age of consent in a broader sense, as in "in any country, whatever the legal system, the age at which a person can legally engage in sexual activity with an adult without said adult comitting a crime", then yes, it's 15 years old in France (or 18 years old if the adult is in a position of trust or power over the minor: older relative, teacher, priest, coach, cop...)

Additionnaly, 15 years old is also the age from which, if there is no consent, you are not anymore considered a victim of "rape on a minor" or "sexual assault on a minor", but of "rape" or "sexual assault" (just like an adult), which is one of the reasons why 15 is often called "sexual majority" in French.

And if you're wondering why I know all of this, and if it's either because I used to date and/or flirt with someone a lot younger than me or because my job is related to Justice or Law Enforcement, the answer is "yes".

"How did Sandra die?"
"A young model named Darth Marie, who was a pupil of mine until she turned to evil..."

Well played, Eva. I still think she's moving a bit too fast and it's going to come back and bite her in the butt. :-?

One must aim for balance in these cases. Dither too long, and one never gets anything done - and in this case, there's the danger of some annoying person discovering what one is up to.

Run Marie run!

Legality aside, there is a distinct squickiness to a very experienced older person seducing a much younger person, hopefully it won't go down that route though and we get some epic battle between Eva and Zoe.

I have to wonder if Zoe hired a private investigator to tail Marie. I'm sure seeing a limousine pick her up is the first clue to discovering who her secret benefactor is.

True, we know this is not good, but how much they know, or might be guessing at it up for grabs.
