Nice judgement from Cammi. Also, nice depiction of Zoé as superhuman force.

Though I don't recall that she has Marie under contract yet, so she's displaying a bit of cheek here.

Hoho, the plot thickens. I am curious whether throughout all of Eva's scheming if she got Marie to sign a contract? We didn't see anything as I recall but it does seem like something of an oversight not to have.

I'm also wondering if this might somehow feed back into the Alex plotline if Marie lets slip how exactly she got involved with Eva. Cammi did say she'd make it up to Alex, which seemed like just something she said, but perhaps she'll get involved to see what's happening.

That last panel. I swear to God, I heard "Those Chosen By The Planet" playing in the background.

Not sure Zoe can really comment on what Marie does, since Marie's not her model, nor did there ever look to be an offer on the table for her to be Zoe's model. :p

I'd like to see Marie stand up and say as such, but that wouldn't be Marie. :(

Umm, anybody seen Sandra around lately? You know, the main character. I'm all for side character development, but with a weekly/bi-weekly update, this could be problematic. Just wondering.

Maybe not, but when someone like Zoe expresses an interest and that person signs with another agency it has all the looks of treachery. Zoe won't kill her, but she'll probably be blocked from her idol, but at least that pain will make her forget all about Alex.

There's a certain tradition of popular fiction series which are named for a central character, but which evolve into ensemble stories in which the name character is just one part. (I'm pretty sure that it's older than print.) It can be a little confusing, and audience members who like the title character may complain, but SotR and SDB aren't the first, and there's some very good series like that.

Assuming Zoe gives Marie time to explain, it will be very obvious, it is a set up.
Magazines and especially covers, are planned months in advance.
This one had the photos take at the end of one week, magazine printed and on the shelves before Marie had time to sober up.

Exactly how old is Marie.
We have seen her in nightclubs but is also in school/college.
If Marie is under 18, there are a whole load of extra rules, releases and regulations, regarding use of the images.
This is on top of all the normal image release and contract regulations.

A friend, who is a photographer, will not touch any photo shoot in which under 18's are involved.
There are just too many ways thing can go wrong with the paper work.

Ok guys, this is a comic. There is always a certain amount of suspension of disbelief to these things. Really, Sandra gets a major overhaul of a classic title remake by cheering on a room full of fans.... like that would really happen in the real world.

Always nice to see Wonder-Zoé make an appearance in the immortal, wrathful flesh.

I think Eisu has too much fun drawing Wrath-Zoé, 'cause she always looks glorious :P

The magazine and its printer clearly use the same time-distorting technology as Senna's private jet.

Sandra's hangin' out with Harold Hamgravy. He used to be the top dog in a strip called Thimble Theater until some spinach-eating jerkass came along and took over. Dude even ran off with that nice Oyl girl who co-starred in the strip... ;)
