Wow, evil serendipity strikes in Eva's favour again. Is it luck or pure skill?

If it's skill, then it's skill in reality manipulation. So I'm now imagining Zoé and Eva as rival Cult of Ecstasy adepts, with Eva well on her way to falling to Nephandus status out of sheer jealous rage at the way that Zoé keeps snaffling all the prospective apprentices in Paris. Or maybe they're both prospective godwalkers on the Path of the Model. (Amber was the unwitting godwalker on the Path of the Naked Goddess until she kept violating taboo, we all know that.) Either would explain Eva's fear when Zoé threatened her with those pictures of her "before" nose; Zoé might be able to produce such a picture, even if no such pictures existed and Eva never had her nose fixed.

But we digress. This plot does depend rather heavily on luck, but hey, Evil Eva's slasher smile.

Dang that really is quite the sharkish grin.

So are we thinking Ursula / Malfeciant with Eva, or maybe a Godzilla vs Mothra situation with her and Eloise?

@Spidrift

Not bad. Actually with EC characters bleeding into the Ma3-verse we could get characters going the other way too.

This strip has so many good things in it, but I think my favorite is the awfully descriptive photographer's dialogue on pannel 3.

Also what's everyone talking about? Eva's smile is clearly one of purehearted affection and eagerness to console a saddened soul. ♪

Sweet Zombie Jesus! I think I've seen that evil smirk on Azula a couple times (as if being both being manipulative wasn't enough to have in common).

Also, that cameraman is a horrible judge of character.

In regards to panel 2, the camera ain't the only one. :ymblushing:

I still don't like that she's toying with Lavali and now she's got her sights on Marie too. I hope both of them get to pay her back, but in the meantime, here's hoping Eva's more competent than Eloise.

So Eva finding Marie like this was just being at the right place at the right time.

I still say they're gonna team up at some point, or at least, they should. It'd be mutually beneficial.

But of course. Plot convenience at its finest.

Now what will Eva say to convince her that she's not bad? Marie remembers her from the club so she knows she's not good, but in this emotional state she's not likely to be thinking rationally.

Honestly, saying "There's two sides to every story" would be a perfectly adequate start. Follow up with "I have good reasons for my opinion of Zoé - you must've noticed she's no saint - and I'm sorry if I got carried away and seemed to threaten you, but she annoys me so very badly. Of course, I'd never actually do anything to hurt someone else who Zoé was exploiting. Another hankerchief?" Marie's gratitude and emotional confusion should do the rest.

Not really, their goals are incompatible at the moment. Eva wants to poach Sandra and Marie to her side, while Eloise wants to ruin Sandra's career completely.

Then there's the fact that their opinion on Zoé differ greatly.

Just because they're both antagonist does not mean they'd get along. In fact it's rather common to see two antagonist at odds with each other, with one of them even teaming up with the protagonist.

Ok, I dont recognise the term "godwalker". How can that be? Are you still talking WoD?

Also, any chance this is the work of some Sidereal Exalt?

Have you ever seen 'Ranma ½'? :-\

Ryoga and Ukyo and had conflicting opinions about Ranma too. Ukyo had a crush on Ranma and wanted to renew her engagement to him. To Ryoga, Ranma was the jerk who cursed him, so he wanted revenge and tried to whup his @ss every chance he got. Using your logic, they never would've teamed up, except they did because they shared a mutal interest: ending Ranma's engagement to Akane.

Ukyo adopted the 'I scratch your back, you scratch mine' approach. She devised ways to try to break them up so Ryoga would end up with Akane, which would leave Ranma free for herself. It was a win-win solution on paper.

Eva and Eloise could just as easily reach a compromise so both of them get what they want.
