I would just like to point out that Ingrid's hand gestures are not how cat paws work. Cats spread their mitts as wide as they can, so they have more surface area for swatting. Ingrid and everyone else who does the half-fist thing is wrong and should be swiftly corrected, lest they continue to spread misinformation. Don't even bother trying to correct me, because I know how cats use their goddamn paws and can go fact-check at a moment's notice.

Not gonna correct you, but people do that kind of paw thing not to imitate how a cat does it but how it looks more like a paw when you fist up your hand like that. I mean, I know you're correct, cats do not fist up their paws cos they CAN'T... but hey, when us humans do the half fist thing, it generally looks like it's a cat's paw...

Humans have freakishly long fingers by cat standards, so some way of making the fingers look shorter is needed to make your hands look more like cat paws.
