I really love how divergent their response to the same information is, although Lavali really is prone to snap decisions and amazingly loyal to her employer.

Although I'd be curious to see her response at the end of the swim when she remembers she's naked.

Hey Sandra, how long were you two out drinking?
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Uh...Lavali...Paris is THAT a-way...

(Seriously - priority one: Figure out where you ARE before you do anything else!)

Lavali, why don't you go back inside that house and try looking for some clothes and maybe a cell phone(or internet). If possible, calling(e-mailing) in sick could work.

Swim back? How so you swim back if you don't even know where you are Lavali.

She is indeed a wonderful artist who could doubtless turn her hand to anything, but from what I've seen, I don't get the feeling that she's very interested in depicting some of those bits in all their wrinkly Lovecraftian glory.

I think that the point is that she's a highly organised introvert. She's got her life sorted and planned out, and anything that takes her off the tracks makes her panic. So it's not loyalty to DMG, it's fear of having to change.

The beaches in France are more tolerant of nudity... if Lavali managed to make it there in 2 days after swimming the Atlantic Ocean.

I know this is played for laughs, but I wonder if there wasn't a little more than liquor at this party they were at.

Honestly, booze in SotR is consistently shown as having comedy memory-blanking effects but nothing else (no pools of vomit anywhere...). It got Sandra to Brazil, and it facilitated Gary's goink with Senna; we don't have to assume anything more complicated here.

Spidrift, yes, and I don't think any of the SOTR characters have done any other psychoactive drugs (except caffeine), at least not "on-screen."

Not thinking clearly at all, that one. Spidrift is right, she's running on panic and adrenaline. And is probably more hung over than she thinks.

As long as she's careful during the two nights she'll be spending out at sea with no boat...
