Well, it started all the way back here when she wondered if she was a lesbian and thought it would be a blast to be lesbian BFFs with Sandra, whom she thought was lesbianing up with Lavali. Then in this strip, she made an attempt at Gay Bravado to impress Sandra, which is how we got here.

A cold shower really isn't a problem for Marie as she's just finding out, but it could be her excuse for why she can't consummate.

The first in the comic's whole universe to be confirmed when the idea was stress-tested, I think. Unless you count Kiley, who seems to have had her fundamental heterosexuality confirmed by having a lot of lesbian sex. (Yeah, try explaining that to an innocent bystander.) I think we can be pretty confident of Ruby, but I'm sure some people will insist on more evidence.

Within this comic - I want to know how Eva has handled the Lavali project, given that she seems to class herself as entirely heterosexual. And we don't know about Zoé or Tatiana; testing the point with either of them could end up being physically dangerous.

Oh, and I'm now almost wondering if this comic and SDB are deliberately running in parallel at the moment. In both, we have intelligent young women facing what should be very straightforward and easy decisions about their sex lives, but making things complicated through embarrassment, politeness, and over-thinking. One imagines Ruby and Marie getting into an anonymous Internet chat and comparing notes.
