It's always interesting to see what names "foreigners" pick for their Swedish characters. It's always either super-oldtimey or something that'd be better suited for a German character.

I'd say it's the former in this case, as I've never met anyone called Ingrid who's younger than 50.

And I'm going to pretend that she has that really frustrating Stockholm accent you always hear when they make announcements in English at the Arlanda airport.

This is why I often go to popular name lists for the country to see what's the best choice to go with.

Other times I just go with what sounds the best

Swedish, unlike Danish and Norwegian, doesn't use the ø symbol.
