Everyone seems to be assuming that this means that Sandra and Pierre are breaking up. Actually, it means that they have a practical problem. Which, given that it's just a part of Sandra's problem with her extreme, stressful workload, would very likely recur if Sandra gave anyone else "a shot".

Look up "hyperbole". The way Pierre is pictured is a bit cliché and overplayed, but bakery is a hard business. French people are notorious for their suspicion of success, but I never heard even the most leftist French complain about a skillful and conscientious baker becoming well-off, or even rich.Clayvman wrote:I can understand after but during?
