From what we've seen, Christophe mostly gets the girls he wants; just not Marie. That does make him a fairly classic ladykiller in love, I guess (compare Zii's thing for DiDi); the mildly interesting and maybe slightly original bit is that he's fallen for the geek girl. Though Marie is an exceptionally sexy geek girl.

Anyway - the question is, Why do so many of these English-speaking students have French-sounding names? Most of them could be French, and Christophe-with-an-e is distinctly unusual among English speakers.

Quick tip to Christophe: ask Alex out for a date, and you may get Marie as the bonus. Marie seems desperate enough to believe that Alex might be gay... so....

On the other hand, Marie seems to be very uncannily similar with the real model Marie-Claude Bourbonnais: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie-Claude_Bourbonnais. Zoe might hit a jackpot if she can fully groom Marie into a professional cosplay supermodel.

Meh. At his age, that'll do to the first approximation. But actually, he thinks that dating Marie would "mean something for once". That may not be a grand declaration of passion, but it looks like he thinks that his feelings for her run a bit deeper than a missing notch on his bedpost.
