OK Sandra is far too smashed to be out now. Time to go before this gets worse.
Poor Lavali, I have a hard time understanding what is being said as well.

Sandra went very quickly right through fun-time party-girl drunk and straight into incoherent mess territory. She's always seemed to have a stronger tolerance before and more ability to stay in the fun zone, a pity. Looks like the night ends with Lavali holding Sandra's hair at this rate...

Well, that'll teach somebody to try spinning New Age "spiritual" BS at a drunk.
And yes, poor Lavali. I do like her; for a quiet person, she's kind of strong on doing the right thing.

Which only makes it more tragic when she's unable to stop the ongoing madness.

May I remind you that hindu is a contender for "oldest religion in the world"?Spidrift wrote:Well, that'll teach somebody to try spinning New Age "spiritual" BS at a drunk.

is the oldest active religion and oldest written records of it, but the Egyptian beliefs might have started around same time or earlier, but the eldest evidence of "beliefs" is the one of "mother earth" with plenty physical evidence of Mother figurines that are over 25000 years ago (Hinduism evidence are from about 6000 years ago)

I'm sure that bits of it may qualify as oldestactive, though Chinese folk-religion is probably in the same league. However, "I'm a very spiritual person"? The BS alert sirens should be audible in London...Zorlond wrote:May I remind you that hindu is a contender for "oldest religion in the world"?Spidrift wrote:Well, that'll teach somebody to try spinning New Age "spiritual" BS at a drunk.

Not even that really. Since we have no idea what the pre-aryan harapan civilization was like, we can't know how much of it, if any, hinduism is based on. And the archaeological record of Indo-Aryan culture is unclear before they invaded India, we cant really say if what they practiced before that can count as hinduism or not. So really Hinduism the fecord only really goes back 4000 years.
Also, since the Christian veneration of the Virgin Mary is mostly just a reskinned continuance of the worship of the Egyptian godess Eset (Isis), that religeous practice can chalenge others for oldest still practiced religeous belief
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Well, if you say that syncretism implies equivalence... Who knows? Every local religious practice from Sri Lanka to Iceland could probably be traced back to some undocumented Proto-Indo-European cult or another, if you squinted hard enough. And we just can't know how far back local African practices go, for that matter. And as for Australian Aboriginal beliefs...
There's lots of unknowability. Which mostly means that people who claim to know a lot of things are themselves dancing the fandango next to the BS alarm button.
