Just off the top of my head, the first three female characters I can name who've not mentioned any taste for yaoi are Sonya, Peggy, and Amber...

More seriously - okay, sure, maybe the Pixietrix team tend to take it as read that a woman with a healthy interest in sex will see scenes of two hot guys getting it on as very interesting. It's a little bit of a cliché in these parts by now. (Though if a lot of male characters were shown leching over girl-on-girl action, I'm not sure that we could count it as unfair.) But the characters in question - the ones with whom this has become a significant point of characterisation - each have their own reasons for this interest. Zii is shown as a cheerful all-purpose lech; DiDi just thinks all cute guys are interesting; Ruby is in denial about her libido and has discovered yaoi as a relatively safe outlet for her feelings; and Marie is an inexperienced teenage girl who is just discovering the range of her sexual feelings. The female characters with a bit more self-control, or more interest in reality over fantasy, don't get so easily distracted by sexual imagery, so we don't see them fantasising about guy-on-guy action so much.

Their tastes vary. Ruby tends to go for the soapy romantic stories, Marie probably likes men of action, and there probably isn't a type of yaoi that exists yet that Zii dislikes.

And neither guy was a Japanese pretty boy. If I imagined two attractive women kissing, and allowed myself a smirk, taking five or ten seconds in total, it wouldn't make me a "lesbian porn fan".

I think this syndrome is because it feels "safe"

they might feel attracted to one or both, and do not see the "other" as competition as they think the "one they like" might want me as the "other gender partner"

but if they see their "favorite" kissing the other gender, they would see that person as competition

I think that homosexuals and Lesbians might find seeing a Romeo and Juliet kiss hot because of the same reason

Unfortunately for me, the reaction tends to be rather along the lines of "ewww..." but most of you knew that already.

There are also lesbians who get turned on by gay or even straight porn but find lesbian porn to be awful.

Regarding straight women who like yaoi...I would have to ask my sister about that.

My first thought at Marie's fantasy was "Again ?!"

But "not mentioned" isn't enough for me. I'd just like to have a not lesbian female character have a "meh" or "shrug" reaction to yaoi, and not because of denial or narrow-mindedness. But simply like the ifrit girl in EC (can't remember her name) says she doesn't like chocolate: it's rare but perfecly okay. Of course, she could like other things more unconventional than yaoi ; could be the joke.

I do not, I've already said it several times on these boards. I almost always find it boring and really don't get this proverbial fascination of straight guys for lesbian sex. I tend to feel excluded in front of a lesbian porn scene, even if I'm perfectly aware that they're usually filmed to please a male audience and aren't very arousing for real life lesbians.
