Actually, even leaving aside the miniskirt idiocy, Ruby carried off the dress that Amber lent her okay, once she'd got used to it. And when Dillon and Amber barged in on her in the shower, she got annoyed and chucked them out, but she didn't collapse or get hysterical at being seen naked. She's a bit of a prig, and she prides herself on having her priorities straight, but she's not some kind of Victorian prude. I assume that she picked her nightdress for warmth and comfort, because the rest of her wardrobe is perfectly normal modern-working-woman; flashing a bit of cleavage in an informal situation wouldn't kill her.
