I'm not saying Sandra would ever be interested in getting with Alex. We know she's older than he is and that she's already seeing someone. I was just pointing out that, if Alex turns out to be Eloise's cousin, that it'd drive her even further up the wall to find out he's so wrapped up in Sandra - even if it is one-sided,
Though, Eloise having similar hair to Marie could be because her cousin hangs out with Marie.
Lavali is cousin of Eloise, and Marie and lavali work together in the "video imaging" company

I meant to respond to this earlier...
Alex may have lived in the UK, while Eloise lived in France. Or Alex's household may have been predominantly english speaking, while hers was French. Mixed heritage isn't unheard-of in families.
We don't know how old either of them are. If they're each living alone, that could easily place them in the 18-19 year old range. So they'd still be teenagers, but that'd also mean they were legally adults. In Eloise's case, so long as she and whoever she's banging are consenting (which they obviously have been), there's nothing to get queasy about.Spidrift wrote:If Elose is anywhere near Alex's age, she's racked up an apparently significant number of casting couch scores rather frighteningly young. He's still at the "misses clear hints from Marie" stage; she's apparently boning a good chunk of the Parisian fashion business. This would slip right into downright queasy territory for me, if she was a teenager in the Alex age range.
Which has little to do with anything. That could just as easily be explained by them living apart from one another. After all, how many people live with their cousins? Most people live with their immediate family, not second relatives.Spidrift wrote:Also, Alex speaks English as, apparently, his first language; Eloise seems to be francophone.

can be explained by fact that Marie and Alex were blogging in the computer in English, as all of them are in France
if I go to a web page in Spanish, or watch a TV program in Spanish, I would think mostly in Spanish......... right now because I am writing this, and watching a TV program in English, I am thinking in English

Actually, Texas has some of the strictest laws regarding "relationships" with first cousins. Suprisingly there are quite a few states that are ok with it. California and Florida both allow marriage with first cousins. Incest in France according to Wikipedia is defined as rape or sexual abuse on a minor "by a relative or any other person having lawful or de facto authority over the victim". Incest in France is not illegal between consenting adults.Escheron wrote:Forbidden if it were Texas? Either that's a typo or Eisu doesnt know Texas that well. Incest isnt forbidden there, it's the stereotype!

Re: 2014-10-07 Poison Apples
actually, per se, until 2010 there was no incest at all in France, it was either straight out rape, or the equivalent of statutory rape over there , but now sex with a minor who is a family member is incest
age of consent is technically 15(but found out that as far back as 1832-1862, used to be 11), but I am not sure if sibling sex or parent-child sex would be allowed when one is between 15 and 17 when supposedly by law it has to be 2 consenting ADULTS and adulthood by law in France is 18
wow, just now saw that in Saudi Arabia, adulthood is 8 for girls, and 14 for boys

I think this may be now the longest thread on the SotR forum. And it's about incest.......
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Yeah. Information that could be pulled straight off Wikipedia, if anyone here actually needed to know where to go to shag their cousin legally. We could at least be talking about Audi sports cars or personal wind machines.vampire hunter D wrote:I think this may be now the longest thread on the SotR forum. And it's about incest.......

I want to know where we can go to a parallel universe, and find the female version of myself
just kidding, but it happened in the TV series Sliders, Logan St Claire was the female version of Quinn
the worse case of incest ever in fiction is "time rider, the adventure of Lyle Swann" where Lyle ended up shagging his own Great great grandmother, and he was his own great great grandfather

I can't remember the details, but there was one story where thanks to a series of time-jumps and a sex change the protagonist was his own father and mother.

Re: 2014-10-07 Poison Apples
the worst time paradox would be something like a full hermaphrodite who is born in 1990 to a 24 years old full hermaphrodite who dies giving birth, than when (S)he is 23.5 years old, impregnates itself and finds a time machine, and goes back to 1990 to conceive that baby, when (S)he came into existence? on its birth? or when it came back to 1990 to have itself? and did (s)he existed twice during its pregnancy until she dies at 24?

Re: 2014-10-07 Poison Apples
The question of parent-child sex is covered in a different part of French law than rape and sexual assault, and it was already forbidden prior to 2010 if the child was a minor. Among other things, the 2010 changes clarified the position of step-parents in that respect.wiseguy wrote:actually, per se, until 2010 there was no incest at all in France, it was either straight out rape, or the equivalent of statutory rape over there , but now sex with a minor who is a family member is incest
