(I yelled this out in college while watching Rome the HBO series in one class when it got to the part where the one guy banged his sister...everyone was grossed out but I expected it cause I knew about it and had a blast watching all the expressions)

I'm assuming a fair bit of removal rather than first cousins. Curious if she was friends with Nadine from way back, they certainly know each other in several senses.

Okay I retract my earlier statement, it is rather a big coincidence if it's Pierre. My thoughts must be really fixed in that direction, though, because I suddenly see a family resemblance between them.

Coincidence is the fodder of comedy. The bigger the coincidence, the more likely it will happen. Especially if someone is likely to be embarrassed, inconvenienced, or riled.

I completely forgot about Octavian and Octavia. Game of Thrones'Jamie and Cersei Lannister completely eclipsed that one time tryst.

I do find the joke a little unusual seeing as how cousin coupling would be the opposite of forbidden in Paris, Texas as well as most places in the Deep South.

I'm definitely thinking her cousin is Pierre because it would be bad enough for Sandra to steal her crush, but her cousin would mean she'd be there for family gatherings of which there would be no escape for Eloise.
