At least they're not shaped like basketballs. (well...anymore. *shudders at the memory of early Didi art* Thank goodness for artistic growth).

Oh, Didi - I miss you so...

Ah, poor DiDi. She now gets her reality questioned in comics where she doesn't even actually appear. The funny thing is, this particular shot really doesn't make her look as inflated as she often does in Ma3 (even post-artistic improvement).
Anyway, I'll guess that coordinating the two strips was getting to be a bit of a hassle (it would be fiddly), so we've now branched into two parallel strands; Ma3 showing events around Gary and Sandra in person, SotR showing the development of Sandra's online rep. And Alex and Marie are quite cute; I'm now getting a definite teenage vibe there (it's Alex's fresh face and Marie's tendency to squee every five seconds).
By the way, it seems that Sandra has a Facebook account and posts photos to it on occasion. It seems she may have been consistently more computer-active than other cast member (who never check their Facebook accounts).

It wasn't "a bit of a hassle" reason (though it is a hassle but pretty fun) that we stopped the coordinating of the two strips, it's just time for the story to branch out to different areas, that's all. We didn't stop the coordinated crossover because it's a hassle (I mean, if that was the case, we'd have stopped it weeks ago).

I find it heartwarming that Sandra has a photo of DiDi in her facebook page.

I now wonder if they'll find pics of Sandra's drunken cat fight with Dillon in drag at the play.

Fair enough. I'll watch the twin strands with interest.Eisu wrote:It wasn't "a bit of a hassle" reason (though it is a hassle but pretty fun) that we stopped the coordinating of the two strips, it's just time for the story to branch out to different areas, that's all. Out of curiosity, are Alex and Marie meant to be teenagers?
They were always good friends. If Sandra had yanked any pictures of DiDi from her own page (assuming that is her own page, of course) after the unfortunate evening, that would have been a bit of passive-aggressive meanness that wouldn't be in character for Sandra.Cortez wrote:I find it heartwarming that Sandra has a photo of DiDi in her facebook page.
(By the way, is it just my PC or has this forum suddenly started displaying text in Comic Sans?)

Eisu draws DiDi a bit saggier than Giz does.
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

Never split the plot.
Anyway, refereshing to see these two going on, yes. Though I would not have pegged them for teens, more like mid-twenties who have turned their teen hobbies into something of a life.
This possibly means that their blog might be somewhat smaller than I thought. Though it seems to have impact, judging from the webcounter on Sandra's page...
And, oh, DiDi.

But you can do more damage that way!Don Alexander wrote:Never split the plot.
We still don't have proof that this more than a hobby for them, although the blog has clearly been quite a success and may indicate where their lives are going. Getting the first-ever interview with Sandra may have given them a rocket-assisted boost, of course. Getting into the convention may have been a holiday/treat for them more than work.Don Alexander wrote:Anyway, refereshing to see these two going on, yes. (They definitely look teen to me, even allowing for the fact that Eisu's characters tend to be quite fresh-faced.)
Incidentally, the lack of pointy brackets in their speech balloons (which seems to be consistent, and has continued outside the games convention) logically implies that they're English speakers, by the rules of the comic so far -- but they seem to have a room in or near Paris (unless they're back in the UK after a quick jump on train or 'plane). Generate explanatory fanfic to taste.
