We get ESPN and we do know the general how-to-plays ^o^ It's not much of a thing here, we don't have diamonds all over cos we prefer football (or soccer to the americans) as our sports-to-follow, but generally, yeah, we know it's basic principle of the game enough to get baseball jokes.

Though, by 'we', I meant those who try to get to know the game. Most Malaysians don't, as I said, preferring football over it.

Of course, I did follow MLB extensively in the 90s thanks to the movie Major League... that might factor in why I'm well-versed in baseball... (but even then I always find it weird it's called World Series but never really included the rest of the world, ha ha ha)

In 1994, it looked like the World Series would be the Canadian Series as two of the top teams were the two Canadian teams: Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos. Too bad a work stoppage killed the rest of the season. The Toronto Blue Jays won the Series the previous two years. So it had been an internation World Series.

ABC (American TV network) had the contract to broadcast the World Series and their executives were going nuts trying over the prospect of an all-Canadian World Series; who would watch? CTV (Canadian TV network) had the contract for Canada; their executives were also going nuts, but in an entirely different way.

And is it just me, or does this actually look like it occurs before the last two Ma3 strips? Senna's elegantly pointedly rude yawn in panel 2 looks to me like the prelude to her attack in Tuesday's strip. Except that Gary has the system better set up here than he did there.

I just read it as the argument between the women as being over and Sandra won - forcing Senna to stand around looking utterly bored while Gary continues with aiding Sandra.

Yes, that's how it has to be. But the idea of Senna giving up and going that quiet just jars with me. This exchange would have fitted in better before the blow-up and Tatiana's revelation, in my opinion.

Not a big deal, just an observation about the rhythm of the storytelling.
