I can't say I'm surprised at the direction this comic took. While I did love the goofy smile she had in the last strip, her statement of "One Nintendo, please!" rather pointedly demonstrated her lack of recent game trends. But now her ignorance of the new systems lets the old Wii name jokes get dusted off.
Still though, I am wondering what games the clerk is gonna end up suggesting that she buy.

She was a cute pre-pubertal kid with braces, playing video games fourteen years ago. If she didn't notice that something stopped being made ... exactly that long ago, she must have drifted out of gaming not long after. Possibly, puberty hit, with its usual add-on payload.

@MoonshadowDark: Depends on how early she got her first system. I got my first Gameboy back in 1992, 3 years after it's release. If Sandras parents also waited to spoil her daughter with this new contraptions chances are she got her first NES (Release date NA 1985) somewhere in 88-93 before it was discontinued.
