Apart from that, loving this entire storyline. Looking forward to see where it heads. =)
Yeah, our editor pointed it out as well like 10 hours ago and I fixed the comic but forgot to upload, ha ha ha ha. My bad.

... Oooooooor he could silvertongue his way out and be just fine. Tristan = 3, Sandra = 1. Put the ball back into play.
And panel three - how did Bart Simpson put it? "You can actually pinpoint the second when her heart rips in half." Yeah. :-s

With that said, I too, am really enjoying that storyline. And the audience's comments are the icing on the cake.

Looks like Chamelia there is getting the "Metroid: Other M" treatment. Why focus on what the fans like about a character when you can give them a gritty backstory and make them wet their pants in the face of a monster she's killed like six times before?

If that's going to be the case then Sandra's nerd rage would be completely justified.

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

I wish to make the following prediction:

The whole modelling thing was a set-up to get her to the Anime Expo, and the strip is not about Sandra's modeling career at all. It's about her career working for the video game development company. This is why Gary goes to France; to work on some designs for the character art after Sandra convinces this guy to about face on the upcoming Chamelia game.

I don't think that holds in light of the end of Volume 5 for MA3. If Senna feels, in her megalomaniac and borderline psychopath way, the need to okay something and manages to convince Sandra well enough that the red-head agrees then there's at least somewhat intimate overtones. And frankly, while Gary might do character art he's got no portfolio or track record that would warrant having him brought in from Montreal versus, say, sending in electronic copies. Sandra also implies she's still involved with modeling in her correspondence with Didi.

Short version: Too much support structure in place for me to think modeling is a set-up. This feels more like an arch that gives that modeling a distinctive flavor than one that kills it off.

An arch giving something flavour or killing it?

Presumably it's part of the architecture of a badly-built gingerbread cottage. You either nibble it carefully for the taste, or it collapses and crushes your skull. But now this poor metaphor has drawn us into the land of fairy-tales...

The way to save this, Tristan, would have been to say it's about her gritty past before she acquired her powers.
