Not sure that the permanent smile will serve her well on the catwalk, though. All the pictures one ever sees from those shows suggest that a Zoe-style look of disdain is de rigueur.

Huh, I do the 12 shifts on my feet regularly but at least I get to wear comfy shoes. Must be a nightmare in high heels.
And as long as someone isn't trying to punch me I have to be polite but I don't have to be actually smiling all the time.
Talk about getting the short end of the stick. Hopefully Pierre and the carrot cake can help compensate her week a bit.

It is, because the focus has to be on the clothes you present rather than your face. Neutral is expected but frowning is actually better.

So having forced Sandra through a week of fixed smiles, Zoe is about to train her to never, ever smile?

Well, it depends of what kind of model Sandra is destined to be. We all assume it's top-model for fashion shows, but if it's for underwear, she may as well only do photoshoots and never walk a podium. Then smiling is possible. Even better: she may work in an "Aubade"-like advertising campaign, and thus never having her face to appear. It would be deliciously ironic if this happens after the smiling/unsmiling training.

Presumably her immediate destiny is to be a photographic model for the sort of high-end work that Domenico does.

Bets that Pierre is going to do the anime cheek-stretching thing to help her out?
