Estimate for return of SDB

Post by tau neutrino »

We're also trying to fund volume 2 of Dangerously Chloe and Sandra On The Rocks at the same time. We had enough pages to do volume 2 of Sticky Dilly Buns as well but I've decided to simply add more pages to the current book, and bring it to completion (I have another project I want to do. More on that soon.) So yes, SDB will return! This Summer actually... as soon as I'm done with the Kickstarter stuff. So expect volume 2 of SDB to be in the next Kickstarter with volume 9 of Ma3. Hopefully, that Kickstarter will come much quicker!

Would be nice to get an update once a month or so letting us know what's up.

I suspect that most months the "update" would be "No news yet... Still hoping to find time sometime soon..."

Which would just be as frustrating as no announcements at all.

No. It would mean they at least plan on returning.

They've said that they plan on this comic returning, more than once. Demanding that they repeat the promise every month is just like yelling "Are we there yet?" from the back seat of the car.

It's hard for me to know when SDB will come back. As you know, for most of 2016 and early 2017, I took on a lot of outside gigs. From June 2016 to mid April 2017, I was working 15 hour days, 7 days a week, with no breaks. Once I was done with those gigs, I had to prepare the Kickstarter and everything related to it. Shouri, who I collaborated with on SDB, decided to leave the project, so returning to it means I now have to ink it myself or I find an inker. Cassandra, who was working on Magick Chicks/Dangerously Chloe, is helping me ink the pages that were not inked in volume 2 (there's quite a few.) Still not sure if Cassandra will stay on to ink the remaining pages I need to do. All this to say, I'm still trying to figure out a way to get back to it in a way I know I'll be able to handle it.

That's quite the workload so I understand completely.

As much as I like this series I don't mind waiting because the strip will be winding down once you resume work.

I recently said goodbye to Alice Grove so I really don't want to see another favorite of mine conclude.

... and I'd like this one to wrap a little more elegantly than Alice Grove.
