Archie is not only present, but has gone francophone. Author Appeal?

Anyhow, it seems that Angel is suffering twinges regarding Richie. One wonders if her thing for Jerzy is very fundamentally childish; he's the childhood friend who she does't want to give up, and so treats sexually to reinforce the connection, rather than really having her own version of romantic feelings there.

I also now suspect that strip #300 may echo #151 visually in the last panel, without having Ruby or Andy present...

And so begins the Richie-Angel romance. As for Jerzy, he'll soon find himself free to go back to Dillon. if he still wants any part of that brand of crazy.

I get the feeling that Jerzy would be too proud to just wander back to Dillon, and would consider it an insult to Dillon to treat him as a supply of rebound sex. Dillon, on the other hand, would be happy to be rebounded onto, so long as he could make bitchy remarks about Angel all day, all night, and during the act.

I think I'm more surprised to see him than an exposed nipple. I know Gisele does some work for Archie Comics, but I thought the parent company Harvey was more restrictive about unofficial usage of their characters than Disney.

The resemblance may be loose enough that they'd have a hard time pinning anything down. (Though everyone here seems to have spotted it.) Or of course, they may just not find out.

Angel is frequently really annoying. But I rather like Angie. He should be her more often.

Hm. I think it's the clothes and hairstyle (along with generally excellent facial expressions) making the biggest difference between Angel/Angie rather than a change in basic frame or structure. They really do have one hell of a handle on their self-presentation.
