I think Amber judges herself too harshly... anyone would sleep with Nathan for that apartment. It's only romantic to be a starving artist before the starvation kicks in.

Urgh, Nathan, you fucking sleeze! :-L

Here's hoping Amber just bucks up and has Ray move in with her instead of allowing him to stoop to her previous level and sleep with Nathan to fix his problems (and kick Nathan in the balls as an added bonus).

Satisfying as that violence might be, Nathan is still the producer on Ray and Dillon's movie. Everyone has to live with him.

Anyway, points here to Amber for honesty. I did wonder if she'd continue her old habit of keeping secrets. Some character growth there. Now, revealing the same secret to Ruby could lead to some interesting reactions (and might even happen as an indirect consequence of this scene).

And yes, I guess that the point of this scene will be Ray moving into the apartment for a while. A bit rough on Ruby and Dillon if so, even if they have got used to sharing that bed. A surprise visit from the Larose parents could lead to some comedy then.

"Would you sleep with me for a million pounds?" "Uh, yes, I suppose so." "So would you sleep with me for a fiver?" "What do you take me for, a common whore?" "We've already established that; now, we're just haggling over the price."

On one hand: Nathan is a horrible, horrible person.

On the other: I laughed very, very hard at his line.

Characters being uncharacteristically upfront and honest about their past to avoid any misunderstanding in the Ma3 universe! :-o

Well if Ray moves in with Amber then Ruby will be permanently sleeping with Dillon. And on that subject how eager is she to get another bed? Perhaps it's easier to share a bed with him.

This could be the nudge that Ruby needs to get around to buying that bed. She's doubtless got used to sharing with Amber and Dillon on different nights, but the reminder that things aren't perfect might send her off to the bed shop, now she's got some money. Assuming that there's actually room in the apartment for another bed, of course.

Not sure where the comedy or character development would be in that, though (unless having a bed of her own sent her thoughts off to sharing it with Andy sometimes, or something).

You know I was just thinking that the only way to make DIllon's torture any worse would be for Ray to shack up with Amber, and now the possibility is being dangled, I'm getting chills :ymdevil: No worries about Ruby, she'll adapt by either getting her own bed or her own apartment, she's got a job now after all.

I suspect that letting Ruby out of the apartment too soon would spoil too many plot options - and the PA job means that there are now actual practical advantages to being in the same home as her employers, after all. And she now clearly finds Dillon more amusing than annoying, and she's refining the snark she uses to keep Amber in her place, so I doubt it feels quite so urgent for her. Oh, and while she's unlikely to admit it in so many words, she'll doubtless find being in the same house as two very hot but fairly non-threatening guys strangely not-unpleasant.

Anyhow, she'd have to save the cost of a deposit (with all the other things she could be spending money on), then find a place - which could realistically take quite a few strips' worth of time.

This comic is starting to make me think he's less of a sleeze. :p

He's got money. People want his money.

Amber wasn't in need of an apartment. It's been shown she done enough porn, she wasn't hurting financially. What the threesome did was get her a better apartment for free AND non porn movie roles. How did she get it? By using Nathan.

Dillion was a part of it all as well, though he thought there was love in it as well, but it sounded like there had been something for awhile longer. No doubt flirting with Nathan while with Matt (Dillion is a flirt).

Nathan here, just okaying it all, and showing "Hey, if it gets me paid, okay!"

Nathan's sleeziest thing is cheating on his wife. He hasn't forced anyone to do anything they don't want and every single actor we've seen so far has been more than willing to sleep with anyone if they thought it would them a part.

Nathan: Hmmm...how do I know you can play a gay superhero well?

Ray: *bends over and/or gets down on his knees* I can show you! I've been practicing!

Just not sure he's the sleeze anymore when you have people like that around.

Well, he does rather jump at every opportunity. And he seems to imply to gullible partners that there's an emotional connection, when really he just wants sex. And he is cheating on his wife.

But basically, yeah, Nathan does nothing that we haven't seen other characters in these comics do. He just does more of it, gleefully, and without any apparent twinges of conscience.

I don't know - taking advantage of someone's unfortunate circumstances (in this case - Ray being evicted from his apartment due to being behind in rent and having no means to support himself) in order to get laid is actually rather sleazy.
