Apart from the likelihood of Angel acting like the insanely protective father from Hell - Ramona still seems to be quite young and a bit immature. I'd guess that her emotional/sexual life is still to be developed.

(I can thus see her hanging out with Ruby, watching how it goes with someone who's setting out on that path.)

The last two strips seem to show her being the most mature person in the room, and she does refer to herself as an adult. Is she in college? Most of her immaturity seems to embarrassment about her yaoi habit. A platonic friendship with Ruby would be nice.

Well, to be fair, Ruby and Zii have been behaving okay in this scene - and being more mature than Dillon and Angel when they've gone Dillon/Angel at each other really isn't clearing a very high bar.

The embarrassment over the yaoi is doubtless part of it, but Ruby also does things like saying "confuzzling" when she means "confusing". It's sort of cute, but it doesn't exactly project mature sophistication. Of course, it's entirely possible that Angel's over-protectiveness makes it hard for her to break out of some rather childlike behaviours.

It'll be interesting to find out what her actual age is, and what she's doing with her life at present. College seems quite plausible.

I've seen very mature (at least in age) people saying "confuzzling". Maybe it's a dialect word or a meme.

confuzzled is an urban term that is a combination of confused and puzzled

when one is confused, one usually is not seeking answers, is just going "what the heck"

while when one is puzzled, it means one wants to find the underlying reasoning of why what they are looking at or pondering, is what it is

If XY = gonads will become testes (unless there's a condition like Ramona), and if XX = they become ovaries (unless there's a condition.)
Yep - that was what "ambiguous" meant back in the day. "Ambiguous females" were XY, but presenting as female, while "ambiguous males" were XX, but presenting as male.
"Presenting" meaning in this (rather technical) sense "appearing to all outward examination".

Considering the collective insanity of your city, Ramona, "what's best" might be avoiding yaoi clubs.

Ramona is probably more mature than the usual in this comic because as Giz said, she would been diagnosed as XY as a teenager, then had a gonadectomy and started hormone replacement therapy and found out she was infertile.

(There was that bit about Takeru wanting grandchildren, but do any of the characters think about having children?)

People start that late these days anyway, and most of the characters are twentysomethings who act like teenagers, so kids probably don't even cross their minds.

Heck, just settling down monogamously is a completely alien idea for most of them. Erik was hinting at the idea in regard to Zii, and Amber has apparently said something about Ray possibly being "the one" (though I think that her judgement is spectacularly suspect), while Ruby thought that "finding a boyfriend" meant "finding a potential husband" before she got the hang of how things work round here, but mostly they have no concept of commitment. So while discovering that they're infertile would be some kind of issue for a lot of young women, I can't imagine it becoming a plot point with Ramona.

So does she have a sex life like the rest of the cast (or a more normal one)? Since she seems to be the Only Sane Woman type, would anyone want to ship her with Gary (even though they've never met)?
To me, she comes across as the stereotypical virgin. While she is obviously interested in boys... she's interested in boys being with boys, and not with girls.

Also - and considering I'm a fat, unattractive guy, I feel I have some right to say this - she seems to me to be drawn in a way indicating that most dudes would not even spare her a second glance (in contrast to Ruby, who is more the nekomimi type).
