so i guess Spidrift(who can't see my posts I think, as he blocked me) expects Dillon to kiss someone(Ruby?) or two other people kissing

if it is Ruby, it would be to teach her how to kiss

if it is Jerzey and Angel, than Jerzy drops Angel and hops to see Dillon as he thanks Angel for making him realize that he "has to go to Dillon"

Maybe Dillon ends up having a romantic dream about Rudy for the bookend?

Well, "Rudy" was monologueing earlier. I think we've found our villain. ;)

I must say I was totally charmed by the 'dialog' with Dillon saying nothing and Ruby being set off by that nothing.

Very well written, kudos!

Warm regards, Rick.

It's not terribly unusual in real life, but I think that it makes Ruby unique in the Ma3 universe.

Incidentally, nobody has commented on Ruby's unwillingness to let Amber see or know about Rudy. She still doesn't understand it herself... That's a messed-up sibling relationship; Amber doesn't know how to communicate with Ruby, and Ruby is terrified of losing her dignity in front of Amber - probably because she feels it's all she's got to give her any advantage over her beautiful, popular, parentally-favoured big sister.

Oh, and here's a thought; if Gary and Amber start - gasp - talking (once their current alternate form of communication is done for now), what are the odds on Amber mentioning her worries about the skeevy-looking guy in a baseball cap who's hanging around with their mutual friend Dillon, and Gary saying "What, the woman in disguise?"

Double post merged. The DAMNed
The sad part is I think Amber doesn't do this intentionally. I think she would probably be very happy to connect with her little sister, but Ruby's (somewhat justified) resentment prevents that. I do have to wonder what their parents would think about Amber being in pornography. From what I remember, they are ignorant of this aspect of their eldest daughter's life.

One thing I would like to see is for a bonding moment between Amber and Ruby. I think if the two actually spent some time hashing out their difference, they would both be happier for the experience.

One of the sources of Ruby's annoyance is that she's had to keep Amber's secret from her parents for the last seven or eight years (and she clearly is a truthful person by nature). And before that, Amber mentioned to Zii that she was worried about having to tell her parents about her career. No, they don't know.

Of course they would be, but it's not going to happen for a while. It'll require substantial character development for both of them.

A minor theme with Amber has been that she doesn't really know how to handle life outside the weirdness of the porn world. ("Can you discuss relative penis lengths on a first date?") This explains why she really doesn't know how to talk to Ruby at all. I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't failed to register that Ruby must be a virgin, even though she knows that Ruby has only just had her first kiss. That crass offer of a bed on which to screw Andy after their first date is what passes for Amber being sensitive. Ruby also seems to make her feel stupid - probably quite deliberately - which doesn't help. As Ruby said, they're totally different people.

Meanwhile, Ruby is bitter over having to keep that secret for so many years, is almost as bitter over her perception that Amber is their parents' favourite, clearly regards Amber's career with contempt, and is scared of lowering her guard or compromising her dignity in front of Amber. A heart-to-heart is the last thing she'd want. That wall of text about her "first kiss" was an explosion of angry desperation.

And aside from all of that, this is Dillon's comic, and Ruby's plot function at present seems to be as a foil to Dillon. In fact, Dillon seems to be marginally better at understanding Ruby than Amber is, because his world-view isn't quite so warped as Amber's (which is a pretty bizarre thought). Amber is currently a bit of a spare wheel in this comic - she'd doing more (much more!) in Ma3 just now. Sorting out the Amber/Ruby train wreck would divert the spotlight from Mr Spotlight Hog. Though he may wonder a bit about Ruby's worry about Amber discovering Rudy, which might lead to some development there, I guess.

This comics shows Dillion is off kilter. A grown man telling a grown woman how to dress as a means to dictate her life.

Actually, this time he's just telling her to keep Rudy in reserve - and on previous occasions, she voluntarily accepted advice freely given. Dillon is addicted to playing the Gay Best Friend, to a bossy and intrusive level, but he's a pain in the butt, not a psycho.

And talking of dressing - the link image to this strip from the other comics is distinctly weird...

It seems to be heading to the point that Dillon have have to act as an intermediary of sorts between Amber and Ruby to hopefully get them to talk. If left to their own devices, Ruby would only hang around long enough to get a job and her own apartment, then move out and never speak to Amber again. And while Amber may feel guilty about not being on speaking terms with Ruby, the fact that trying to talk to her is so difficult means that Amber will most likely give up trying after awhile, and Ruby moving out would give her a convenient excuse to stop trying, since they're so different they'd never hang out socially anyway - note that the sisters have yet to even try doing so (outside the apartment, that is).

The only thing stopping the sisters from going their separate ways with issues forever unresolved after Ruby moves out - will most likely be, sad to say, Dillon. Lost in his own world as he is, even he will eventually notice how strained their relationship is, and knowing him, he will attempt to fix it. Much to Amber's and especially Ruby's annoyance.

My guess is that we'll mostly just see the two sisters on parallel unconnected paths of character development; Amber getting back in touch with some kind of almost-mainstream reality through hanging out with Gary, perhaps, while Ruby relaxes and loosens up a bit through experience of life in the city. (Partly no doubt through Dillon imposing himself on her, but it also looks like her own libido waking up a bit, which may make her review her options a bit, and maybe eventually she'll have work colleagues to play off.) And Ruby seems to consider family as important, even when she doesn't like them much - she's that sort of conventional person - while Amber doesn't seem to like not being able to talk to her sister, and may need moral support and advice when she has to tell her parents about her porn career.

So they may manage to talk eventually, despite neither of them quite realising how the other got there. But like I said, it may take a while.
