More seriously, you should quit this habit of skipping words in your sentences, brasca. In your previous post, it was "more", and in this one it was "sister". It makes you hard to read at times.

I was referring to Amber. I'm trying to walk that fine line between being vague and overly detailed and my first post was written in haste because I was the first one here. Grammar was sacrificed, but the point should have been clear enough.

As we have seen in flashbacks Amber was a bit naive about sex until one fateful sleepover with Zii. She gained an interest in having sex as a career not long after and then some time after that Ruby saw her sister in a porno and has kept the secret since. Now if she remembers Zii as this over sexed teenager who started hanging out with her sister who then exhibited the same tendencies what do you think she would conclude? It's also possible that Zii just dismissed her as Amber's brat kid sister as big kids often do to little kids so that could also be the source of some tension. Now years later Ruby is in disguise so if she wanted to get revenge this would be the best time to do it since Rudy not Ruby would be blamed.

Damn why didn't I see that sooner. At least Ruby doesn't have a long list of phobias that keeps her from interacting with people. However, to be fair Hannelore is doing a lot better around people now.

Ruby has some repressed sexual energy and just might burst if pushed the right way. If she can compose herself in time she might find a way to eat her cake and have it too.

Well, to be honest, Ruby is just a little bit flaky and repressed; Hanners is really seriously damaged. But their issues do end up tending in the same direction, with similar symptoms - notably the interest in yaoi.

And honestly, I don't think that Ruby's behaviour will be too explosively unfortunate when the writers decide that they've milked that joke enough, and let her admit to herself that she quite fancies having a boyfriend and even bumping uglies with him. She really doesn't have too unhealthy a view of sex, so far as I can see; note that she's not actually wildly uncomfortable or hostile when discussing Dillon's relationships with him. She just doesn't think it's for her, and she doesn't want to waste time or energy on that foolishness. There'll still be plenty of comedy options when she changes her mind; she'll still be gauche, prickly, and inexperienced at dealing with other people (socially, let alone in bed), she'll still be easily embarrassed, and she'll probably be a bit annoyed with herself, openly for acting this way and secretly for not acting this way sooner. The worst risk, as discussed before, may be that she'll fall for some smooth-talking sleazebag. But then, she'd have to lose Andy first.

And yes, she does seem to have a lot of bottled-up sexual energy. The male in her sights when she lets go will be quite a lucky guy, though he may suffer some superficial sprains and bruises in the first few days.

Non-trivial but probably treatable, I think. She hasn't actually undertaken to compromise her principles in exchange for Dillon's collection.

Actually, Ruby reminds me more of the other yaoi aficionado in QC: Marigold. (I would go so far as to guess that whoever Ruby eventually does fall for, the mutual attraction/sexual tension will first be disguised as hostility.)

Again: nerd, not geek. Ruby has her faults, but she refuses to become a shut-in like Marigold. (Note that Ruby is extremely fastidious; Marigold ... isn't.) Conversely, Marigold was never really in any doubt that she wanted to get laid.

And all theories about future lovers run into the "have to get rid of Andy the idiot first" issue.

Andy makes may head hurt with some of the stuff he says. (I tend to drop my head into my desk when he speaks) Ruby's lack of experience and her kindness could allow of Andy to stick around a lot longer than I would like.

As for her current situation... I feel that if any Yaoi action were to happen in front of her, she would lose all complex thought.
