Yeah, Gary's not a good choice.

Pah. Questions of orientation aside, the kid's a one-trick pony.

We don't know if he hasn't improved or not.Error of Logic wrote:>_< A girl suffering from a negative image of sex with the less-than-a-minute-unless-blind-stinking-drunk-man? NOT a good combo!
And if he still is, it then just adds to the silliness.
Ruby: ...so...that's it?

Just have Gary give Ruby the SGR, that will make her a little less uptight.
Bonus points if Amber would find out by hearing Ruby right through the wall.

Re: 10-01-2014 Poor misguided Angel
Amber has a very pragmatic view of sex. She'd like Gary, but she keeps her hands off him because that would endanger her friendship with Dillon. Friendship is more important to her. If dating Gary made her kid sister happy and less stressed, she'd grit her teeth a little, but I think she'd put up with it. She might be more worried about the effect on Dillon, though.
But Gary wouldn't be good for Ruby, I suspect. Even if the Swirly worked its mechanical magic on her, she'd just hate herself for being susceptible to anything that crude - and I really doubt that she'd think much of Gary as a person.

Then why did he break up with Zii?Spidrift wrote:However, he probably has his own hang-ups. They aren't explicit at first sight, but the whole thing with Zii, both sexually and in terms of managing her band, says to me that he really wants a cray-zee relationship with a hot rock'n'roll chick.
In other words, I don't think that Ruby is his type.

Well, one thing is wanting a hot and lusty R&R chick, hearing her confessing to your ex that she never loved anyone as much as her, including yourself, is another one.brasca wrote:Then why did he break up with Zii?Spidrift wrote:However, he probably has his own hang-ups. Exactly. You could say that Erik didn't think things through - the sort of woman he thought he wanted was exactly the sort who he couldn't be sure of keeping. Alternatively, you could accuse him of vanity - thinking that, although he had a hornily voracious chick, he was enough to satisfy her forever.
(See also his conversation with Jim. "If I wasn't around...")
Either way, dropping DiDi into the solution crystallised out the disaster.

Not sure he vain, but there's knowing who you're going with and having faith in them, and then there's having that faith broken.Spidrift wrote:Exactly. Though, what if Erik didn't stop managing the band, and Zii just thinks he did? Or has it been stated clearly that it has happened?

I know that people are really bad at communicating in the Ma3 universe, but confusion on that point would hit whole new levels of mutual incomprehension.

The scary thing is, within the setting, it's not impossible...
