Amber has a very pragmatic view of sex. She'd like Gary, but she keeps her hands off him because that would endanger her friendship with Dillon. Friendship is more important to her. If dating Gary made her kid sister happy and less stressed, she'd grit her teeth a little, but I think she'd put up with it. She might be more worried about the effect on Dillon, though.

But Gary wouldn't be good for Ruby, I suspect. Even if the Swirly worked its mechanical magic on her, she'd just hate herself for being susceptible to anything that crude - and I really doubt that she'd think much of Gary as a person.

Not sure he vain, but there's knowing who you're going with and having faith in them, and then there's having that faith broken.

Though, what if Erik didn't stop managing the band, and Zii just thinks he did? Or has it been stated clearly that it has happened?

I know that people are really bad at communicating in the Ma3 universe, but confusion on that point would hit whole new levels of mutual incomprehension.
