Anyway, Ruby's level of sexual inexperience has been pretty much the only thing shown about her character, in every panel she appears in since she first showed up. Which is kind of a shame, because she has a little promise as, say, a deadpan snarker - but this comic doesn't do much snark, so she's defined almost entirely by her repression.

But anyway - the poor kid's in denial, but that's usually a first stage. She does at least have that determination to find out what she's dealing with, even if she doesn't like what she finds. Given how basically useless the people around her are, it's good that she's determined to solve her own problems.

While I think she doth protest too much about what is and isn't perverted she might too easily associate fujosi and yaoi with porn which she takes a dim view of and given her previous experience is understandable. Such things run a spectrum and while some are tame others get into some scary and weird territory. Consider what early exposure to hentai with tentacle monsters did to Yuki and Ruby's reaction is again understandable.
