Hey, it's his job after all. Some professionnalism from someone once in a while can't be bad. Didn't thought Dillon was so full of himself, though. He's still funny and willing to do good, so it compensates. Besides, we're not always in his mind (thank god!).

Described as a swimming instructor. If he doesn't have at least basic lifeguard skills, someone needs sacking.
Insert notes here about cartoons that treat CPR as sexy being somewhat unrealistic. Also note that Dillon evidently wasn't engaged in some bizarrely cunning and intricate scheme to get Ruby close to Andy, or he'd presumably be reflecting that it'd misfired and feeling guilty here. He was simply getting himself a quick grope of a handsome straight guy.

you know, i've heard that gay guys sometimes fetishize straight guys, in the same way that straight guys sometimes fetishize lesbians, but i don't know if it's true or not.

That whole display of Dillon's must've knocked the wind right out of Ruby. I thought it would just be a comic misunderstanding with her losing her glasses and then flailing around trying to get them back.
The question is will getting CPR from Andy outweigh the injury to her pride.

Nah; this comic's bizarre requirement to have Ruby suffer as much as possible - presumably for the crime of not being sufficiently awestruck by Dillon - evidently now extends to having her half-drowned.brasca wrote:That whole display of Dillon's must've knocked the wind right out of Ruby. Hardly. Even if she wakes up to discover that she's enjoying having a man's mouth clamped to hers, that'd just confuse her and feed her hang-ups. So she can be sure to suffer some more.brasca wrote:The question is will getting CPR from Andy outweigh the injury to her pride.

Quick, Andy! Save Ruby before the Forum declares Dillon a murderer!

Arrgh, I guess I have to take back some of what I said about Dillon earlier and his having no concept of shame, restraint and going too far----he still doesn't, but he does have real care and concern for Ruby, so yes, he gets that to his credit.

I notice an awful lot of ego in his concern, though. "Juicy man lips"...

Re: 11-10-13 Juicy man lips
well, given that those lips apparently have the magical power to gayify straight men, a bit of ego about them is probably warranted.

Can "gayify" be a real word now? Where's the petition to make that happen?

You'd have to talk to the folks at Webster's and Oxford.
