Dillon didn't work there. The kid should've been able to get those damn bugs himself, and if he had, Dillon wouldn't have been in a position to set the bugs loose. He has proven he couldn't do the job he was hired to do, therefore he was fired. Such is business, such is life.

I suspect that this incident was of the nature of a last straw. Richie seemed pretty exasperated with him from the very first.

Anyway - damn. I was hoping that we'd see Ruby being practical and landing some kind of temp job herself, not going all wet and girly and impractical. (Buying a kitten when you're living in somebody else's apartment really isn't very polite.) She will end up as a junior crazy cat lady at this rate, and I hoped that we'd see her having strengths as well as weaknesses. She's looking too much like Gary now - all geek cluelessness, not enough nerd focus.

The sight of Dillon having a bad day is insufficient compensation. I can't be arsed to despise him that much.

I am not at all surprised. I fully expected to either see her fleeing in abject terror from the crickpocalypse, or going home with that kitten. Either one would have been perfectly in character, to me anyway. As for the impoliteness of acquiring a pet while slumming in someone else's home, I suspect Amber will also fall under the kitten's spell and forgive Ruby of any offense. Unless she's allergic...

While it may still happen, I doubt Amber is alergic. She didn't seem to have a problem while at Zii's place (where we know there is a cat around).
