High five to Amber for being an effective Wingwoman.
Also potential High five to Dillion, going by Jerzy's reaction.

Re: 21-01-13 It will be clear
Meh. I gave this a couple of strips (Honestly, I hate bi-weekly comics that don't upload at least six or so strips to give the audience a chance to get to know the comic. It's complete amateur hour. I mean this one wasn't as bad as Dangerously Chloe where the first page is a splash with no context and the premise not explained for another five weeks but still.) but it's clear this comic isn't going to be for me. I already read Ma3, I don't need it another two times a week. And while I like Amber, Dillon is too much like a male Zii for me to want to read his adventures.
That's the big problem with this, Zii already did this sort of thing in Ma3 and it wore out its welcome there. There's nothing new. See, Sandra and Senna was different since it was set around modelling and had the master/servant dynamic to set it apart. Magic Chicks was about another magic school, but it took a different approach by being about high school politics compared to Eerie Cuties' wacky adventures.
And another problem is the same with Dangerously Chloe, we're just thrown in because our esteemed writers assume the only people reading these comics are the ones who read the originals. I was introduced to Teddy but I don't know about Chloe aside from the fact she's a succubus who apparently went to a school in hell for a few years and there was some time-displacement. But I can forgive that because I actually like Chloe. Again, here, Dillon and Amber are apparently movie stars who live together and have bonded enough to the point where they've worked out numerous plans to tell if someone is straight or gay. Amber seems to want Dillon intimately, is that who she naturally is or is she in a female version of the friend zone? And who is this Gary guy they're talking about in the second strip? Obviously I know, but what happens if in a year or two someone gets linked the strip and has never read Ma3?
You know the pilot episode of Frasier? It understood not everyone had seen Cheers and may not know who he was, so they re-introduced him when they introduced all the new characters.
Now if you guys were focussing on the movie, such as having annoying characters who tried to pad their part, steal the spotlight or just forgot their lines, that I would read because it's different. You could have an actor be unable to perform his scene because he's too uncomfortable around an openly gay man or maybe during a sex scene Amber forgets this isn't a porno. It's not like that premise is lacking for story ideas.
Admittedly, you guys don't stretch too far when it comes to your new series (Cute and simple characters, wacky hijinks, gratuitous fan service, etc.) but each series does differentiate itself from your other works.
So yeah, Giz you probably don't care why I'm not reading, in fact I heavily doubt you'll see this, but I felt the issues needed to be stated beyond "Not my cup of tea" or "ZOMG THIS SUX!"

Re: 21-01-13 It will be clear
I get the other complaints, and you may have a point, but - Dillon is like Zii? No way. Zii wants to think she's self-assured and really cool, and mostly carries it off fairly well, and is only as of recent strips getting her head round the idea of opening up to other people, or needing help with stuff she can't handle. Dillon is this needy romantic twit, and the one thing this comic has established about him so far is that Amber looks after him like a (porny) mother hen.

I believe saying this is an indication of a bigger problem.dmh3000 wrote:I already read Ma3, I don't need it another two times a week.
So it appears Amber may already know Mr. Jerzey. I'm pretty sure he's gay, otherwise the romance plot of the comic is going to be short.

Oh yeah, that does seem to be implied. But she didn't tell Dillon. Mildly odd. She may be over-doing the maternal management of Dillon's life.Raamyah wrote:So it appears Amber may already know Mr. Jerzey.

She may not have known she knew him until she saw him.
And, btw, we've had, what, four strips of SDB- or is it six?- we will probably see the series grow over time. It just hasn't grown a lot yet. So a lot of stuff about the movie may fold into this later.

Hey, they were classical butts! Respectable butts! None of them were later than 19th century! Damnit, at least three of them were paid for with British taxpayers' money only a few years ago, so as far as I'm concerned, they're our butts.Spidrift wrote:...butts...
