Write "attitude" and spellcheck won't come into it...

sometimes the keys don't respond fast, and the "double letters" come as "single letters" like I might type leters (first choice leers) or instead of common I type comon and sometimes instead of apple I end up touching the nearby key "aspple" and if I am typing at night without much light, I might do a spple for apple (first choice of correction is tipple) and I am slightly with AD so if I go too fast I might put fsat instead of fast so I rely on double checking before I push enter and on the spell check

those stupid boys at school... and their stupid party... and their stupid... ughh, just stupid
are we to take it that Ruby decided to avoid sex simply because her sister was a porn star(before that, she was willing to go to parties with boys?), or should we take it that(even with the boys not knowing it was Ruby's sister at the film but I think they did know) the boys of the party tried to seduced Ruby to do the same things in the movie and sexually harassed her, thus the reason of Ruby's seeing sex as "interferences" and being mad at Amber? all this while Ruby recognized her sister with just 2 or 3 seconds at most of seeing the film(if the stupid boys never knew or mentioned that it was Ruby's sister in the film)

just want to establish if her fear of sex was because the attitude of the boys at the party or because simply seeing her sister doing porn
if you must..................

I will accept

"no comment at this current time" ;) if you have not decided or you feel is better "to have us speculate" for the moment

A very trivial issue, but I have to ask; do Amber and Ruby's family spell their surname "LaRose" or "Larose"? I think that the speech bubbles sometimes have "R" and sometimes have "r".

I write it as Larose but it's possible T edits it to LaRose and I forget which one we use when lettering. You'd more often see it as Larose in French Canada though. I guess we'll have to go through the strips to make it consistent.

Thanks for the answer. I wouldn't want the team to get too bogged down fixing old strips for this; it must be a boring job, it's not like most people will even notice, and there are other fixes that are slightly more important. (Inking, tags, Cast Pages...) But I do respect perfectionism!

Is there any chance Professor Conried might show up in the strip. Maybe so Ruby can confront her about taking advantage of her?

....Going by what we know about her, Yvan is obviously not her type.

Though Yvan probably wouldn't be her type even if she was into guys.

I have a pet theory that Dillon got that all wrong, and Professor Conried is actually a 100% sincere, well-meaning idiot with the fashion sense of a lump of balsa wood...

Okay, that isn't even headcanon. But I'm not sure what Ruby could say to Conried, even given the chance. Short of assembling enough evidence of abuse of position to get her sacked as a teacher, all Ruby could really manage is some yelling. That might be cathartic, but Ruby's story in this comic is about making a fresh start and leaving her past behind, yelling less and talking more.

True, but sometimes you have to confront the past before you can leave it behind.

I mean, it does seem like Ruby trusted her, so the realization that she took advantage of that trust probably stung.

I'm sure it did. But Ruby's back-story is all about feeling screwed over by people she wanted to trust, from Amber to Lucy to Professor Conried to her own mother. It's why she's so angry, so much of the time. She might confront any of them, given a chance, and she certainly needs to sort things out with Amber - but really, she needs to move on from all that and find a few real friends she can trust, not dwell on the past.

But again, sometimes to move on from the past, you have to confront it. Just ignoring it doesn't always help.

Ruby probably would also want to know if everything Conried ever taught her was BS, wether she actually gave Ruby any valid or useful advice.

Presumably Conried was a competent Business Studies teacher; Ruby would have noticed eventually if she was a complete idiot. As to the advice for life - well, is Conried the person to ask how much of that was good?

But like I said, from Ruby's point of view, this comic is a story about new beginnings, not raking over the past. We might get a chapter's worth of that eventually, but only well after Ruby v.1.5 has been fully compiled and debugged, and it's not mandatory.
