It's not the not wanting to be molested; it's the
automatically assuming that Dillon is a "perv". Not asking Amber how he's likely to behave; not even saying "well, so long as he's not some kind of perv" (though that would look quite uptight enough); simply assuming that Dillon has "pervy hands". That's just rude to someone who she hasn't even met, so far as she's aware, and either an insult to men in general or a harsh dig at Amber's taste in friends.
I kind of hope it's the latter, really; we already know that Ruby has issues with Amber, but if she's basically hostile to all men on principle, she's going to be a very negative character, and she's going to have trouble getting that job.
I think it's just part of her general standoffishness. I mean as far as we've seen, her reaction to almost everything except for the things that have caught her off guard could be summarized as 'harumph!'

I could see/hear someone with a sarcastic sense of humor dropping the PMH line. I'd say due to the construction, it's more likely to be a joke than "as long as he's not a perv" would have been. But between BOB, a dismissive attitude toward Amber's past, a suit (almost as non-severe as suits get, but still a suit) and the granny nighty, it's pretty easy to presume she's not joking.
That said, a lot of my reaction is because it didn't sit well with me that *I* leaped to prudishness, and I don't think it's quite fair of me.

I dunno. For me, implicitly assuming that all men are pervs with wandering hands goes beyond standoffish to either rude or paranoid, even if she was very slightly joking.

Except that, when she accidentally panty-flashed Dillon and Jerzy, she managed a perfectly good embarrassed apology. Okay, so she was caught off-guard there, and embarrassment was her dominating emotion, but a real comedy stand-off bee-yitch would have found some way to blame the men for looking.
Pretty well everything we've seen from her since has involved her relationship with Amber. Which is, clearly, an
issue. But that's why I wonder if the "pervy hands" line comes from there (which would make it arguably somewhat understandable given Amber's past career), or whether it indicates her general attitude to men.

I estimate a 95 % chance of that. And even if she remembers/learns that he's gay, she will try to "cure" him and make a good god-fearing christian husband out of him.
Don Alexander wrote:I now await the first meeting of Ruby and Nathan!!!
He will hire her with the purpose of seducing her. When Amber and Dillon try to warn her she'll answer that they are just jealous. She will end being Nathan's lover, and he'll keep giving her false hope, telling her that he will divorce his wife soon...

And that's why I think her stand-offishness is a veneer, and not her nature. She has a reason to act the way she does, whether it's self-defense or a way she thinks she'll garner esteem (doesn't she have second-best issues after all?), but underneath that, she's probably quite different. Maybe insecure, maybe somewhat shy, maybe quite sweet. That's why I made a guess towards tsundere, because I think she may have two distinct facets to her personality, one that she hides, and one for show.
I could be wrong, but that's my impression.

No, no! Not the glasses! (If
they come off she's not a meganekko anymore!)
The panties.
BTW: Quite safe for work, with some slight doubt if your supervisor is fluent in Japanese.

Wouldn't you just know that Amber the former porn star has a sister who's "Little Miss Prissy."
However, I have no fear. I'm confident Dillon will find some way to annoy the heck out of her!

That's only SFW if you have headphones and the volume turned way down.
OR all other people at work are otakus!

I figured that, since it's a link to a YouTube video, the volume/headset issue would be obvious. (Of course someone would have to
actually look at the bottom of the window to
see the url.)
Now if you want real "Jdance" try this: Warning: Video of a group of animated vocaloids doing "Japanese Gangnam Style".

The mannerisms, the attitude, the granny clothes...is it possible Ruby might be homophobic? That could create some tension or I could see a whole transformation/corruption thing coming, OR if Gary ever gets a spot in this I see Ruby being instantly smitten...*glasses of a feather click together*

If your granny wears a miniskirt like that...
But anyway, we don't even have much evidence that Ruby is really socially conservative. Heck, all we really know is that she's a bit snotty about her sister's porn career (hardly hardcore Victorianism), wears substantial nightdresses (umm, maybe she feels the cold at night?), and thinks that some men are pervs with wandering hands (sadly, y'know, true). Going from there to homophobia is a jump. Even most social conservatives these days mostly stick to "just don't tell me about it (or ask to get married), okay", so far as I can see.

Yeah, thinking Ruby might be homophobic is a bit of a leap. I'd be more inclined to think she's just stuck up and possibly a bit misandrist. But as Spidrift pointed out, her attitude so far could just good old-fashioned sibling rivalry with a touch of her feeling like the Unfavorite, so we need to see more of Ruby to make any final judgments. She could yet fall hard for Dillon or Gary, or hate both on sight, we'll just have to wait and see (personally, I'd be quite amused if she was not at all attracted to Gary, and instead fell hopelessly head over heels for Dillon).

I don't think she's homophobic...I don't think she actually know that the campy gay man is Dillon. Misandrist...maybe a bit androphobic...sure, but not homophobic.
