In spite of their differences I think Zii can at least respect Angel as an artist. She was willing to work with her so Zii can probably be somewhat concerned about her well being even after all this time.

I'm really not sure about the artistic respect. Not so long ago, Zii and Angel were calling each other an "obsessive pretentious snob" and an "oversexed middlebrow has-been". I still reckon this scene is simply down to Zii not being evil.

Like I said artistic differences. "Talentless" was never one of the insults thrown at each other.
