This is probably the first time I can recall seeing a guy take pride in his relative LACK of masculine traits (at least in his own mind). But it's Dillon, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

It may also get him out of having to handle three hundred bugs. To be perfectly honest, I've, umm, de-emphasised my absolutely overwhelming masculine charisma once or twice in my life, if it got me out of having to do stuff I didn't like. Running away from the ball on a school rugby pitch quite often seemed like a good idea, actually.

I want you, for just a second, to imagine what Dillon's army would be like.
That, to me, is so amazingly hilarious.
But... yeah. Society tells men that we should worship the masculine and shun the feminine.

I take pride in lacking a number of masculine traits.themacnut wrote:This is probably the first time I can recall seeing a guy take pride in his relative LACK of masculine traits (at least in his own mind). But it's Dillon, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I don't have to look it up.
Even Dillon probably thinks that movie was more camp than a Boy Scouts Jamboree, though.

Dillon's Army.
Even more gay than Dumbledore's Army.
Also, looking around, I daresay this society worships the feminine. As long as it's girls, you know? ;)

Ah, but there's the rub, Don. Gender conformity is strongly encouraged, but which is seen as a bigger transgression- a tomboy or a boy playing with Barbie dolls?
Exactly.

Why couldn't the kitten be the preview pic for this strip?
Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.

I want Dillon to get a boy-sidekick who always imagines Dillon as a macho superhero father figure, regardless of what Dillon's actual appearance and actions suggest.
The boy could always be getting in the way of Dillon's romances, even more than Ruby.

Oh you know, masculine and feminine that's relative, besides biological elements of course.themacnut wrote:This is probably the first time I can recall seeing a guy take pride in his relative LACK of masculine traits (at least in his own mind). But it's Dillon, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I wonder if Dillon will end up buying a kitten for Ruby ? Or she'll get one free ? (I dunno if this can actually happen, pets are expensive "goods" after all).

Meh. I got my moggie from a garbage can where some low-life had thrown her, along with her siblings (the others went to friends of mine).

Dillon being jealous of Ruby is incredibly amusing to me.
Early to rise and early to bed makes a man healthy and wealthy but socially dead.
