No, you are not the only one. But like Hurbster, I too am interested in how DIllon and Ruby react to each other when they're properly introduced. Considering they're both rather high-strung and dramatic personalities, there will most likely be fireworks in that first meeting.

That the rest of the "strong independent don't need no man" stereotype is commonly associated with black women, at least in the US. It's part of the "Sassy Black Woman" stereotype. Seriously, look it up on TVTropes (and then be prepared to sacrifice the rest of your day to following the rest of the links to other tropes or shows/books/games etc using those tropes. My joke on Spidrift was because he flat out refuses now to comment on any comic which includes Dillon, and this one is 75% Amber/Ruby but they just had to switch to Dillon in the end.

Actually...I wasn't even talking about Spidrift when I said that. I literally only tune into the comic when Ruby and Amber are in it. Any other time, I don't really visit.

It's all part of the same thing. Ruby wants a neat, tidy life where she has perfect control. Sex is notoriously untidy and uncontrolled. Therefore, Ruby doesn't want sex in her life.

This is basically realistic characterisation.

Oh god, I so sympathize with Ruby here, is it that hard for people to clean up after themselves? You're in a bathroom, if you get toothpaste gunk on the counter, grab some toilet paper and wipe it off. Even if Dillon didn't have a roommate that's just untidy.
