I don't think 'not trying to be sexy' is quite the right phrasing for Ruby. It's more of a 'trying not to be sexy'. Then again, I haven't followed why we're discussing Ruby's sexiness at the moment... unless it's simply for the sake of discussing her sexiness.

But even that requires some explanation. The world is full of siblings, and a lot of us went through phases of squabbling, but most of us end up on speaking terms. Full-on snarkiness and scrambled sexual attitudes, at Ruby's age? That's excessive.

If you're running with the theory that the problems started when she discovered Amber's career - I'd say you might well be right. But that's still an explanation.

Then again, I haven't followed why we're discussing Ruby's sexiness at the moment... unless it's simply for the sake of discussing her sexiness.

It started out as "Why does she wear that miniskirt if she's prudish and doesn't want male attention?" Which is still a good question, see previous post for my hypothesis. After that, the discussion merely decayed, because some people aren't interested in actual conversation.
