I think she accidentally played the video she took of Jess singing solo at her party, and her sister is freaking out that Karen will be rather unhappy to hear Jess's impressive solo act?

I thought the last panel was a flashback. So now I'm really confused. The explanation given makes sense, but until the next strip no way of knowing for sure.
