Fragile Tropes

Currently, Fragile appears to be (one of?) the only webcomics in the Pixie Trix / Hiveworks / Seven Seas stable without an entry on TV Tropes. Especially since many of us are now proud owners of Volume 1 in print (so can easily flick through pages / chapters to remind ourselves of what everyone got up to and when), I thought it was probably about time we started to rectify that.

I've taken a quick look through TV Tropes and identified a few initial contenders - if we can get some sort of consensus on a handful (I'm not quite brave enough to Be Bold and just create it based on my appraisal of relevant tropes alone!) I'll be willing to create the initial entry (in the expectation others will then jump in and expand!):

Boyish Short Hair - Karen.
Cloud Cuckoo Lander - Jess.
Cool Old Lady - Mamo.
Curtains Match The Window - Marian.
Genki Girl - Jess.
Girlish Pigtails - Emily.
Ill Girl - Emily (congenital heart condition).
Love triangle - hints of one developing with Bruce, Marian and Emily (Bruce --> Emily, possibility of Marian --> Bruce now she's determined to wean herself off Julian). A potential Type 4: Steph <--> Julian <-- Marian has probably been avoided.
Multicolored Hair - Karen (black hair, blue bangs), Jess (ginger hair, red ponytail).
Must Make Amends - Marian after accidentally burning Emily.
Non-Identical Twins - Marian and Steph, although this is largely a case of them having different tastes so deliberately dressing differently.
Prim and Proper Bun - Karen's got a bun, but Prim and Proper? Maybe not...
Rapunzel Hair - Marian, Emily.
The Ditz - Marian? Often clueless, but possibly not quite in Cloud Cuckoolander territory.
The Reliable One - Karen.
the Tragic Rose - Emily.
Tomboyish Ponytail - Jess.
Twin Switch - subverted. Marian pretended to be Steph without her sister's knowledge.
You Gotta Have Purple Hair - Marian.

Interestingly, most twin tropes aren't relevant - Polar Opposite Twins, Single-Minded Twins, Creepy Twins.

I had been flirting with creating the page myself... just hadn't gotten around to it. Could probably get a heartwarming, funny and tearjerker page, though not sure if anything would qualify for an 'awesome' page yet, and we need a bit more character developement to make a character page yet...

(puzzled as to what's point to do it anywhere but TVTropes themselves) :-??

While I could just create the page on TV Tropes and not mention anything here, I don't feel confident enough with just diving in solo, so thought I'd get a bit of community feedback on the initial handful of tropes I thought of to seed the page and get the ball rolling.

Plus it gives me time to write the intro and wikilink everything before posting - and then, once posted, if others dive in, it will help keep the page active.

Ooh, just thought of a potential other one: a Shout-Out to Springiette, with the CCND special edition camera and the poster in the postcard (which has probably always been on Marian's wall, just out of shot or covered by a speech bubble). Looking through the gallery, it looks as though Jess can also be added to Curtains Match The Window (orange eyes, not brown).

Yes, it's a double post. Yes, it's usually discouraged. But, if offers news.

Fragile @ TV Tropes has now been created. Edit away! :)

Not to be confused with the carpet matching the drapes.

*darts off*

(Thanks mittfh!)

We all know that TVTropes never try to slip some inuendo into their stuff... ;)

BTW, is that true for them? <ducks> :ymdevil:
